A rival petition set up in opposition to the 1.5 million people who have asked for Donald Trump's state visit to be cancelled has passed 100,000 signatures.

This means it will be considered for a debate in Parliament.

The petition says: "Donald Trump should be invited to make an official State Visit because he is the leader of a free world and U.K. is a country that supports free speech and does not believe that people that appose [sic] our point of view should be gagged."

Pulling a UK state visit invitation to the President of the United States would be inconceivable. Not possible. The ramifications would be huge.

Would have been nice if they spell-checked the petition first.

The Brits are petition-happy.

The one good thing Obama ever did was to crumple up the Piers Morgan petition to remove him from the country. I loathe Morgan but these petitions are childish.

Trump should add those names to no fly list to USA.
(both mohammad and non-mohammad)

You beat me to it. I was going to suggest that the names of all illegal aliens and non-citizen refugees be struck off. Plenty of those names would be Irish travelers and Eastern European economic migrants, too.
