WASHINGTON Acting Attorney General Sally Q. Yates, a holdover from the Obama administration, ordered the Justice Department on Monday not to defend President Trumps executive order on immigration in court.
I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institutions solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right, Ms. Yates wrote in a letter to Justice Department lawyers. At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful.

OF COURSE, the GOP is undeserving, but they are what we have — we must find ways to move this sluggish beast forward.
How come Schumer didn’t cry when the bill was passed?LOL
You are welcome. The sooner Trump can put Sessions in charge of DOJ, the better!
Who is this whore? Time for President Trump to hit her with a YOUR FIRED!
Maga_trump on reddit says (in gist) that they’ll push Sessions through committee tomorrow, with cloture (like Tillerson T-REX today). After the 30 hour hold which the Dems will insist on, the Sessions vote will be this Friday. He will be confirmed right after.
Hang tight for a few more days...
I was think about this - can you imagine everyday getting ripped a new one one they scale he has for about 2 years now.
I'd probably be a drooling piece of hair shriveled in the corner by now.
Especially when you know you doing the right thing.
I think its pissing lots of people off - I sure hope so.
Let us press ahead and let them over play their hand. If there is one thing we have learned about President Trump he is unpredictably creative.
Everybody thinks they have him all figured out or what the Trump thing is all about - its sublimely magical - enjoy it all.
I was 5 when President Reagan Took office and 13 when he left I remember lots of it - Newsweeks, Time not big fans as I recall. I remember his weekend radio address on the way home from church followed by Canadas "Cross Country Checkup" . President Reagan had such a warm, joyful voice and was a practiced radioman way back in the day - As I think back on it Reagan was incredibly reassuring and calm quite different than President Trump. However he was still lampooned as stupid, gonna start WWIII, need to prepare for post apocalyptic nuclear winter with Siberian tigers - Wolverines!
This time is different but the same - the left is doing the exact same things they did back then and will continue. Its different now be cause we can get together on social media and laugh at them. For me personally I was child when Reagan was President and as an adult I thought I'd never have the chance to vote for someone I actually wanted.
The demographic fabric of the country has changed but the marvelous "American Mind" still exists in the heads of enough of us - As we move back toward a constitutional form of government I've notice lots of humor coming from the right and its a bit infectious.
President Trump is providing us so many opportunities to come up with creative ways we can make fun these snowflakes, perhaps we should oblige him.
he just did...
She was just fired. I was wondering when this was going to happen
She was just fired. I was wondering when this was going to happen
Our local news is reporting she was just fired. LOL.
Just heard on Fox News that Pres Trump fired her - woo hoo!
Well I guess the new guy only holds the position for 4 days, until Sessions gets in. Seat warmer.
He was a special prosecutor.
The RATagandists called Nixon a "Cox sacker".
Trump fired her for not doing her job just like Reagan fired the air controllers. Thus will help Trump.
Don’t let the screen door hit you in the behind, you worthless libtard scum without a spine.
