We stopped going to Starbucks a couple of decades because of their prices and left wing customers.

Many many years ago I went to a Starbucks a couple of times. . .the atmosphere was downright eerie.

Would love to see these price gougers fail

Exactly. I walked away from Starbucks when a tall mocha started costing me $4. This is not a huge drink, it is one step away from a plain ole latte. I found it curious that they started raising prices on a regular basis, right around the same time they said that they would pay for their employees college costs at the online version of some Arizona university.

After that announcement, the cost of my drink began rising by 4-10 cents every couple of weeks. So, I figured Starbucks wasn't paying for the tuition, I was paying for the tuition. And, since I was already paying for my own children's tuition, I decided to walk away from them. I have noticed, recently, that my mocha has increased in price by about 22 cents since I stopped buying them from Starbucks. I found a coffee bar at the local Barnes and Noble where the cost of my drink is still under $4, so I go there now.

Remember “Big Tobacco” campaign? I wonder how they’d like a “Big Coffee” campaign and a slogan like “please respect your local businesses and drink small”. How they stay in business with bad product at a high price is a mystery.

Starbucks just declared it would hire 10,000 refugees.

My question is, hire with what bankrupt company?

Well they announced they didn’t want my business so I don’t bother them with it. One might think oh, the occasional coffee, but over the years many have requested Starbucks gift cards for Gifts and I never buy those either.

LOL hairy smelly men as baristas......I enjoy it when I get a cute girl Batista with tight (fill in the blank).

I think I would avoid places like Starbucks if they didn’t have nice hired help......

“And then they announce they plan to hire 10,000 refugees.”

icing on the cake, and even more delightful: they announced this the day BEFORE their stock plummeted!

Maybe they can make their loss up by hiring all those refugees...ha, ha, ha!! I hate their coffee. It tastes burned. I buy my flavored coffee beans from a company in Baton Rouge. It’s the best I’ve ever come across.

True. Starbucks, then, needs to be called out for NOT hiring Americans in these 75 countries.

And the numbers are PALTRY, as the pay.... will Starbucks pay these people the equivalent of $15 per hour? I bet not. Corporate greed.

Well, first, there are probably not many, if any, Americans in those countries who would want to, or need to work for Starbucks there.

And, secondly, why would Starbucks pay several times the typical income in those countries?

There are places on line that will buy gift cards that are not wanted by the recipient. You would probably lose about half of the value. Or you could re-gift it to someone who likes Starbucks.
