In recent days, news outlets have been reporting that 10th Circuit judge Neil Gorsuch has now risen to the top of President Trump's list of potential Supreme Court nominees. He apparently replaces Judge William Pryor, who was widely reported as previously leading the pack of potential nominees. Judge Pryor faced significant backlash from many on the right, including Evangelical Christians, criticizing Pryor's apparent support of the radical homosexual and transgender agenda.
The danger in being the front runner for a spot on the High Court is that you receive intense scrutiny, and, as with most candidates, Judge Gorsuch is difficult to evaluate fully.
Having spent some time digging into Judge Gorsuch's background, we have found many good indicators. First, we should say that we personally knew his mother Anne Gorsuch Burford, a lawyer whom President Reagan appointed in 1981 as director of the Environmental Protection Agency. Anne was both principled and fearless taking many arrows in her faithful pursuit of President Reagan's environmental agenda. Sadly, the Reagan administration failed to provide her the backing she deserved, leading to her early departure from that position. Judge Gorsuch's distinguished maternal pedigree should not be overlooked.

What are the concerns. Can you provide some brief bullet points?
Post the whole thing, or is it excerpt only?
I listen to Laura Ingraham. ..she just said Gorsuch would not even be in her top 10
Not much meat. Based on DJT’s track record so far, he’ll have to really screw the pooch before I’ll doubt his judgement on the big matters.
The author is concerned over his ruling in a search and seizure case that has second amendment implications. Was the mere possession of a firearm (with nothing else to indicate is was an illegal possession) a valild basis for a Terry stop (stop and frisk)? Gorsuch joined the majority opinion which said yes.
After reading the article, the concern is in a new Mexico case where a man was carrying concealed and obviously not well, as a police officer spotted this and disarmed the man. Later they found he was not a concealed carry license holder and in fact has a record that prevents him from carrying concealed. The judge concurred with the opinion upholding this as a legal search.
It was not a 2nd amendment case per say, but rather a 4th amendment case. The article does not go into specifics of the case as to whether the guy was acting suspiciously or what prompted the police officer to frisk him. Was it just because he spotted him carrying concealed or was he doing something else and in the frisk he found the concealed weapon. I don’t know. I’m not sure I put a lot of faith in this article to say that I have doubts about Judge Goresuch...
Larry Pratt is the head of the GOA.
I'm not yet familiar with Gorsuch and his record. If we are not getting the best pick on the list, then that's a problem.
This is like the night before Souter was appointed. High hopes.
Every judge is going to have some rulings we disagree with. Every single one. So this doesn’t disturb me in the sense that we’re never going to find the perfect nominee. Besides, Trump handed out his list during the campaign. He said he’d pick his Supreme Court nominees from that list. He has done more than any other candidate to let people know up front who he was going to pick. If this guy was an issue, someone should have said something back in September or October.
American Thinker has to be excerpted.

If you notice American Thinker.com is the 5th one on the list.
An apology would be greatly appreciated. *Sweet Smile*
Like Tillerson, who presided over the homosexualization of the Boy Scouts.
“Was the mere possession of a firearm (with nothing else to indicate is was an illegal possession) a valild basis for a Terry stop (stop and frisk)? “
It was more than a stop and frisk. It was a forcibly disarm the citizen case.
That is true, and like an old proverb says: “To please everyone is an art that no one can do”.
Nope, that's a classic Terry stop and frisk. Weapons are what's being "frisked" for in a Terry stop. The Terry case justifies this on the basis of officer safety and the officer is allowed to take possession of the weapon while with the person. However an officer must be able to articulate specific facts which would provide a basis to suspect that the individual may be involved with criminal activity.
Cops responded to call that two people were displaying guns in store.
Asked dude to step outside to talk since officers were observing strange behavior.
Cop followed man outside and saw gun in back waistband. Cop pulled gun out.
Subsequently found out he was a felon in possession of a stolen gun.
“It was more than a stop and frisk. It was a forcibly disarm the citizen case.”
The cop was ‘interviewing’ a suspect and the dude failed to identify that he was armed and the cop saw the gun in the waistband. The only ‘force’ used was to pull the gun from the waistband.
We will know if his pick is a good one or not by the response of the Democrats and RINOs in the senate. If they hate the selection then it’s a good one.
“Every judge is going to have some rulings we disagree with. Every single one.”
I agree with this one. Cop was called about people in store displaying guns.
Clerk was questioned and asked to go outside because cops didn’t want confrontation with the two inside cramped store. Clerk acted strange and as the cop was following behind, saw gun in waistband and pulled it out.
Subsequently, found to be a felon in possession of a stolen gun.
As a CCP, I know that the first thing I would do if one-on-one with a cop is to identify myself a a CCP holder and state if I am armed or not.
