A new Quinnipiac poll released last week shows more American voters support President Trump's executive order to temporarily suspend immigration from several Middle Eastern and North African countries.
By a margin of 48 percent to 42 percent, voters supported "suspending immigration from terror prone regions, even if it means turning away refugees".

They had Kerry winning against Bush their last poll before the election in 2004.
You can bet it’s over 50% Trump made this one of his MAIN campaign promises.

The LAST THING the Democrats wanted was to be dragged into this issue...and the polling shows why - they can’t win.
Their dream outcome was to get Trump to backoff, thereby angering his supporters...it was a Hail Mary for them, and they knew it. But they really had no choice.
yep same formula for their “bad approval rating” headlines that ABC/CNN used. Under sample Republicans and over sample Dems and Independents.
Same formula btw that gave them HRC winning big and in all swing states.
We wouldn’t have had 3000 die on 9-11-2001 if other presidents had acted as responsibly. And we wouldn’t have had to go into Afghanistan and lose thousands more lives if we didn’t allow 19 muslims into the USA.

If I knew how to post I would put this up as a vanity – but as I do not, I’ll probably just post this in the remarks section from time to time.
Folks, here is the real truth in a nutshell. It’s not about a lack of compassion or concern; it’s about the lack of a dictionary. What we are talking about is three different words:
Immigrant: One who is moving to a new country to be assimilated into that country. In short to leave their old nationality behind and become a citizen of a new nationality.
Refugee: Someone who remains the citizen of a country, but has been displaced by events. When those events are resolved, the will return to their country of origin.
Colonist: One who is coming to a new country with the intention of colonizing that land – that is to force the indigenous people to accept the colonist’s ideas, customs, and way of life.
The basic problem is that what the looney left calls immigrants and refugees, are in fact colonists. And that’s the rub. Americans are a kind, generous people that have rescued and saved entire nations, and probably during the 1940’s, the entire world. We are NOT however interested in being colonized.
Those liberal fools that think they will force or shame colonization down our throats should remember – unlike the other crap-holes of the world, our citizens have 350 million guns. If you want to try to force colonization on us, you should remember we are not a bunch of natives living in mud huts.
Liberals won’t like how things turn out.

Just add 10 to the favorable side and subtract 10 from unfavorable and it is certainly more accurate.

This is Quinnipiac which is very liberal. I bet the approval percent is actually higher.

The reason we have to do this is because Obama’s failed middle east policy created the refugee crisis. Liberals created this immense suffering. But, to bring them over here is idiotic.
We don’t want the kind of social upheaval that Germany and Sweden are experiencing by opening their borders to this cultures which do not share our values of freedom of choice and democracy.
Creating safe havens in the ME is the best solution. Send the money now going to bringing them to the US on helping them nearer to home.
Christian refugees are the exception. There have been persecuted and their homes destroyed. Obama has basically caused a holocaust of hatred against historic Christian communities in these nations we abandoned.
The only thing believable with Quinnipiac is their hockey team...great team...
