If people had doubts about the Mexican government being influenced and controlled by drug cartels, well, they can put that doubt away.
In a stunning segment on Fareed Zakarias CNN broadcast today Mexicos former foreign minister, Jorge Castaneda, states the Mexican government is willing to counter U.S. President Donald Trump policy by unleashing drug cartels upon the U.S. border.

Well I think ‘Mad Dog’ can find a couple...I have faith...
That’s old news and been going on, though I guess they could encourage more of it.
How embarrassing to be such a failure as a country as to want your citizens to leave any way possible.
Mexico has beautiful lands, more oceanfront per capita than America, rich natural resources and a population with a strong family structure and work ethic (other than some bad people).
There is no excuse for Mexico not being a rich country comparable to the USA other than corrupt, weak governance.
The 40 or so rich families that really run Mexico should be drug to death by donkeys.
“So the drug cartels are a subsidiary of the government of Mexico. He said it.”
It’s worse than that. I think the Mexican government is a subsidiary of the cartels.
Mexico is a poor country but a small percentage of Mexicans are living the high life.
Just as here, the government doesn’t really produce anything while the cartels are making billions by shipping addiction, misery and death to—as a dealer described us on the show below—the gringos.
I saw a show on Netflix (which I may cancel) called `Drugs’. One episode showed a Mexican dealer getting ready to make his run. He was accompanied by a cop!
The pusher came right out and said, “We take care of them, they take care of us.”
They don’t give a **** about good relations with us. They just don’t want the campesinos rising up and tossing them out or their drug routes blocked.
We should disabuse ourselves of the notion that the war on drugs is being lost. It’s going just as planned.
After years of lip service from our own useless govt. Trump threatens to upset the apple cart.
He’s made a number of powerful enemies, very bad people, and I worry for his safety. God, protect Donald Trump.
There is also a strong socialist/communists party. Don’t know which would be worse, but we need the Wall.
And it is now south of the Rio Grande
I wonder if it is possible to use this self-cleaning concrete that possibly cuts air pollution?
The ghost of General Blackjack Pershing says ‘bring it!’
Our troops have spent the past 16 years perfecting combat in terrain that looks a lot like Mexico. We won’t even break a sweat.
We could clean up Mexico’s drug problem quickly. Put the NG on the border with orders to shoot trying caught swimming across the river.
I also think, that since they seem to hate walls so much, we should think about showing them how easily our Air Force can dismantle the ones on their southern border.
Next they’re going to stop Americans from crossing the border into Mexico to their prescriptions filled. That’ll piss off a few snowbirds.
The drug cartels are an enemy army.
They ARE already doing that and have been for a generation and change now.
What on earth is a snowbird?
.
Mexico has done more damage to the US than the Soviet’s wildest dreams.
Mexico is the new Soviet Union.
Deport illegals!
Expel muslims!
Given Justin Trudeau’s unbelievably stupid statements about ‘providing a home for those immigrants refused in the States’, I’m sure Trump is humming “Jokers to the left of me, Clowns to the right...”
Great. That gives us a reason to send troops to the border.
I think we have a Secretary of Defense and Homeland Security to take care of this threat.
Sounds like Jorge Castaneda just announced that he was a terrorist and an enemy combatant. Time to President Trump to hellfire Whore-gay’s drug money financed compound.
Mexico, if you imagine the payoffs from the cartels would be greater than the 2.2 billion you’re getting from your citizens illegally being in the United States, you’re living in a fantasy world.
Actually, they probably are living in a fantasy world, as they likely assume that this president, like every other president since Reagan, wouldn’t deploy armed forces to the border. Guess what, Mexico? We will.
Guess that’s one way for Mexico to get rid of their cartel problem.
Flood Mexico with MARINES, and END THIS NONSENSE ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!
