Don’t the customs agents work for the president? So why should they listen to some judge that does not even work for the same boss (thinking of executive, judicial, legislative branches here)?
The ICE Department is under the executive branch.
Sort of like the age old conflict and the quote attributed to a certain dead president:
"The court has rendered their decision. Now, let them enforce it."
It boils down to who has control or in the same sense who has jurisdiction.
We shouldn’t kid ourselves, federal judges with jurisdiction have massive power. They can even take over control of city governments for a time as in placing things into a receivership and controlling all city employees including fire and police. They can do the same to corporations large and small. They can influence and control the lives of millions of people. And they have the US Marshals to stand behind them AS LONG AS THERE IS CLEAR JURISDICTION.
The US Marshals Service is a shared service. They are a shared resource among the branches of government. They will always back the branch with jurisdiction. Jurisdiction is a notion of authority and control pertaining to the question of who has control of the bodies?

And to say that it appears the judge does not have proper jurisdiction is NOT wishful thinking but a clear reading of the statutes.
However, some lawyers and judges, like politicians are never to be trusted!

Expect the democrats, their media and their judges, to soon be pounding the table and yelling like hell.
This reminds me of two instances. The first is the stop order given by the judge hearing the case brought by states against the Dreamer EO, under Obama. Obama actively continued their activities despite the order, for months. The second was a SCOTUS ruling on search incident to arrest. It came out in the afternoon on the East Coast and I was doing a ride along with the local sheriff's dept. on the West Coast. They immediatel were taking the SCOTUS ruling into account and when in doubt, getting a warrant to make those searches.
Don't know what the actual deal is here, but hearing only the ACLU's opinion isn't going to be the truth.

You have this exactly right. Trump should simply ignore this lefty judge, and the customs agents have a duty UNDER THE LAW to carry out the commands of the CIC. End of story.
