Wrong. The Temporary injunction only said they could not be deported, (sent back to the country they flew from). It did not order, (and could not have ordered), the Customs agents to release them into the country. As far as I know they are still at the airport awaiting a decision on their admissibility into the US. They may have been transported to a detention center awaiting adjudication of their immigration status but they technically have not entered the US.

I just read the order and, quite frankly, am not sure of its scope. But we can agree on this, it does not say what the ACLU says it does.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand that all international airports have detention centers.
