But if a state stops sending taxes to Washington then they are in open rebellion and the historical response by any government to open rebellion has been to put down the rebellion by any means needed including force.
What California is talking about doing in the article for this thread is secession. They can’t do that. We fought a war over that question the side that advocated being able to leave the Union lost. States do not get to decide which Federal laws they enforce and to pay or withhold Federal taxes. If they did there wouldn’t really be a nation.
Would these same people have agreed to let Texas or Wyoming cease to pay Federal taxes if The PIAPS had won the election? I don’t think they would.
I’m just saying that the people of California need to put a stop to this stuff before they find they’ve made a decision that can’t be undone. If the legislator in California stop paying Federal taxes the Federal government will replace those who legislate - by force if necessary.
