It turns out there will be a conference in Atlanta next month about climate change and its effects on public health. It just wont have the federal government behind it.
The reason? Former vice president Al Gore.
He called me and we talked about it and we said, Theres still a void and still a need. We said, Lets make this thing happen, said Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association. It was a no-brainer.

You forgot, Gore, to go with void and no-brainer.
Yeah - momma needs a new pair of shoes...
Gore, what a shyster.
As long as I’m not paying for it, I don’t care.
Just another UFO convention at this point.
Thing is, we should keep in mind that public health and climate variation is a valid concern even if one does not believe either (a) that the climate is warming or (b) that the warming is human-caused.
The statistics do indicate a modest warming but there may be no really valid public health implications. There could even be positive health implications. Milder winters would probably produce a different spectrum of disease outcomes but might be associated with fewer traffic deaths.
Slightly hotter summers are not going to mean much in America or Europe, but a small amount of heat stress in already very hot regions could be significant.
These things are worth studying objectively, without necessarily agreeing to the AGW religion aspects.
The fact that the U.S. government won’t be paying is good in any case, if some private sponsors want to blow their wad looking at this issue, who cares really?
As long as no PUBLIC MONEY is used let them hold whatever they want
At least UFO conferences have a real purpose. When the Grey’s come, you will all see...
Hey Al, what is your electricity bill running these days?
And NO GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES or any contractors on behalf of the government to go. President Trump’s administration needs to be clear on making this a No Go and not let Gore and his AGW cult make an end run around the new administration.
Hmmmm. “The Greys.” Reminds me of a bunch of E.E. Doc Smith books I once read.
Not sure I’d want to be the first government employe to turn in a travel request to attend this thing.
Sweet! These frauds are now outside looking in, instead of inside looking out!
LOL! Well said.
Yeah!
Let them drain their own funds.
I look forward to watching the Left bleed out financially, after years of gorging on the Treasury.
Oh thank God-I was afraid we were going to lose the planet this week. /s
