Why is the NY Taxpayer paying his legal bills?..................
Here is where we should remember that in Alaska....former Gov. Sarah Palin was the target of leftists who filed many many frivolous claims, and the state does NOTHING to aid/assist the Governor. She had to fund her lawyer on her own. Liberals were so so nasty when she resigned because the financial burden on her and her inability to fund her defense was getting too great to continue. They accused her of ‘cutting and running.’ (It would have been nice to have a ‘loser pays’ provision where people/organizations that filed frivolous and unmerited claims that were proven wrong would then be stuck with the legal bills of the party that they were making accusations against.)
OTOH - NY provides for the liberal governor to have free legal aid, and sticks the taxpayer with the tab. (Maybe there should be a requirement that the governor pay for his legal defense, and if completely proven innocent ....not that the charges were thrown out on a technicality...then and only then would the state pay for the defense.
Obviously they need a Ballot Initiative to make the Public Employees responsible for the Legal Fees of Citizens, just to make it fair.
What a frikkin joke
