Caroline Kennedy lost her Ambassador post in Japan when Trump took office. He sent her packing and hasnt even bothered to name a replacement.
But according to the New York Post, shes not done with public service. Kennedy is planning to run for the U.S. senate in 2018.
First, shes going to be penning a memoir, but then shell be getting down to work. She plans to follow in the footsteps of her uncle Robert Kennedy, and run for a New York senate seat.
She plans to target the seat of Democratic Senator Kristen Gillibrand. Or she could run for Rep. Kristen Gillibrands House seat instead.
This is great news for progressives. Caroline Kennedy has the Kennedy name and recognition, but none of the baggage.
.....
Kennedy has a net worth...Kennedy trust funds.
She has much of the popularity of Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton among Progressives, but no baggage. So securing campaign donations wont be a problem.
But her aspirations dont end there. According to an unnamed source, Caroline had a successful ambassadorial run in Japan and feels really very confident about putting her hat in the ring for a New York congressional or Senate seat, with even possibly bigger political objectives down the road
Down the road could include a run for president in 2020. She would be a strong candidate to run against the Republicans.

Has anyone seen how haggard and old she looks ? She has all the sex appeal of an 80-year old corpse.
Apart from her other weaknesses, she won’t stand a chance once Trump kicks out one of her core constituencies; namely, illegal aliens.
This was posted yesterday and is somewhat related to your post regarding the Kennedy Drug Bust.

Encourage her to primary Gillibrand, please.
Kristen AND Caroline are DINGBATS!! Kristen’s questions were a HUGE embarrassment for America!
They are postulating that she should run in NY
Her opponent bitch's name is Kirsten Gillibrand. Sheesh!
How does Kirsten Gillibrand have both a House seat AND a Senate seat?
Is she ambidextrous or something?
(Gillibrand is a Senator from NY)
The times I’ve seen her on TV, she came across as a complete dolt.
Two years later, they expect her to abandon her putative Senate seat to run for POTUS. Doesn’t she need a little more experience first, say some work as a community organizer?
That goes without saying.
I just don’t see Schumer retiring in the next six years. Course, maybe some special interest group will pay him off and Kennedy would get appointed to the job and catch on that way. But Schumer appears to be in good health and ought to be around for the full six years.
Compare to Harp?
Exactly. Even if she wins a seat in the House or the Senate, she will still be just one vote, replacing someone who a would be voting the same way she would.
Actually Ms. Kennedy is more of a Gloria Upson....the silly socialite from Auntie Mame.....our government must stop handing out seats to non-statesmen...Caroline probably wouldn't know the US Constitution if it jumped up and bit her..............
Caroline Kennedy sounds like a very stupid valley girl.
Without the Kennedy name she wouldn’t be able to run a foot race more less a business.
I don’t know how taking the seat of another liberal Democrat, Senator Kristen Gillibrand, is going to hurt Trump.
If anything, it would just keep the status quo.
Day job? As Japanese ambassador? She just got fired by Trump. Did she even speak Japanese? As trust fund recipient rich girl? That’s not a job.
I thought I had that ‘you know’ talk filed....you are so right....she is not exactly intellectual...our Senators are or should be a cut above.
Archdukedom of Brittany is mine! I’ll wrastle yuh fer it.
