U.S. Army tanks recently deployed to Europe arrived at a port in Germany, some of them with dead batteries and without sufficient fuel.
The Wall Street Journal reported this week on logistical challenges that the U.S. military faced when sending an armored unit of 4,000 soldiers and 90 tanks to Europe in order to protect NATO member states and deter Russian aggression.

For a majority of the REFORGER units, only the troops were flown over and they fell in on POMCUS sites and drew full battalion sets of tanks, apcs, artillery, etc. Not that many units did a load out and transoceanic shipment. the POMCUS sites were in Belgium, Holland and Germany, west of the Rhine.
I discovered this myself the hard way although by accident. I left my car keys in the ignition, Everything was off no lights, heater, radio, or anything else left on.
I go to start the car a few days later... oh there is my other set of keys.... The battery was totaly dead.... had to get a jump start.
I guess they never heard of floating trickle chargers. Our fire apparatus all had to be plugged in whenever we were not using them.

After reading the replies from people who've been there and done that, I understand the SOP of very low fuel and unconnected batteries. I even kinda figured that. No big deal.
Putin has made a big deal about being a Christian and protecting the Christians and has supported the state church. A state religion has always been a good source of power to wield.
Maybe he has said good things about President Trump in order to help H, but it actually did help Trump and now we have run successful sorties with Russia. I'm good with cooperating when it serves our interests.
