The fact is that they were negotiating an agenda for discussion. Trump wanted to discuss the wall which would prevent Mexican/Latino demographic invasion of the USA.
Pena did not. They could not agree to an agenda.

Trump tweeted to stay hoome if they dod not want to discuss the wall. Pena cancelled.

Now Pena will have no input. Big Mistake. Mexico will pay for the wall or have no trade advantage. And the Chinese are already wooing Pena.....but the Donald will do the job. If the Chinese get in the middle of this then both Mexico and China will be paying for the wall.

I wish that President Trump had tweeted, as you say, ... if The Mexican President didn't want to discuss the wall. He actually tweeted..."unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall". I don't see how the Mexican Pres. could save face with that statement. Hopefully, this is another of DJT's long range plans.
