Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Secretary-General Saeb Erekat on Wednesday said he was “shocked” by the White House’s silence on Israel’s construction in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem, and called on President Donald Trump’s administration to clarify its policy.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman announced the approval of 2,500 housing units in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, in order to accommodate the housing needs of the residents and to return their daily routine to normal.
The announcement followed the approval earlier this week of 566 new housing units in the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Ramat Shlomo, Ramot and Pisgat Ze’ev.
While the United Nations and the European Union were quick to condemn the new construction, White House spokesman Sean Spicer on Tuesday declined to express a position on Israeli construction when asked about it in his daily press briefing. …

Get over your belief you will one day occupy all of Israel. You walked away from Camp David when you had the chance to get real progress . . . you walked away from Oslo when you were going to get almost EVERYTHING you hoped for . . . the charade is OVER. You will PUBLICLY say the following . . . We recognize that Israel DOES have a right to exist.
Until you do that there will be NO U.S. money spent on the Palestinians . . . and then WHEN you say that you will be allowed to negotiate in multiparty talks with us.
Failure to do that within the next 14 days will result in this administration selling Israel ANY weapon system they desire.
Should you restart any terror activity within Israel or help to store and fire missiles from Palestinian territory into Israel we will consider it an attack on the sovereignty of the U.S.
We suggest you get back to the negotiation table as soon as possible . . .

The New York Times reported Wednesday in a breaking story that the staff of U.S. President Donald J. Trump is preparing an executive order that would terminate funding for any United Nations agency or other international organization that gives full membership to the Palestinian Authority or the Palestine Liberation Organization.
