Her victim did not die. . . she survived her encounter with this psychopath. I think 30 years would have been more appropriate for attempted murder.
50 years, she’s very young, I don’t want her released until she’s old and feeble. I agree that because she did not succeed in killing she should not be put to death, but she will always be dangerous
I’ll split the difference and go for a life sentence. Let her spend her life recalling her thrill behind bars.
She should never see the light of day again. She is clearly a psychotic criminal who will attempt to kill again not long after getting out of prison. Life without the possibility of parole is the only sentence she should have gotten and that’s only because her victim didn’t die. If she had then the needle ASAP. Chances are state law prevented life imprisonment. This is when some kind of special circumstances law needs to be in effect nationwide. Yes, she’s a nutcase, but not the kind that belongs in a cushy mental institution. Prison is the only place for her besides death.
Maybe one or more of the other prisoners will take care of what the system couldn’t.
