Good.
Trump can say to the faces of the lying, lazy traitors in the Ratgress that their days of scamming the American people are over.
I hope he picks the Senator for the Ayatlollah out the crowd, and tells McLame what an evil piece of crap he is
To: servantboy777
He sure is.
Glad to see you allowing yourself to enjoy this a lot.
We live in a great time in the nation.
Pity the folks who can’t see it.
Take care...

To those several readers who think “it’s a trap”: I’d be incredulous if Ryan announced this invitation publicly without first getting private acceptances from both Trump and McConnell. Indeed, it may even have been The Donald’s idea in the first place.

I think you're on to something. A fireside chat with some Powerpoint slides, done very low key, would work better than the silly pageantry of a congressional address.
Congressional addresses should be limited to requests for a declaration of war or an announcement of some major import.

I've always been an American worker, American citizen first kinda guy. I've been boycotting cheezy Chinese goods for a hell of a long time now. Prolly a couple of decades.
This IS my dream come true.

If I were Trump, I'd have the FBI, CIA, NSA investigate this POS to the Nth degree.

Mine too...
He’s touching on almost every one of my hot button issues.
It’s incredible.
I guess this is why I give him so much leeway.
His goals seem to be mine, so I wait and watch what he’ll accomplish.
I trust him a lot.
That doesn’t mean I’m blind. I just respect the direction he is clearly going.

I seem to recall a few “First 100 Days” speeches, but not “The First 39 Days”.
Maybe I’m wrong, oh, well. Been wrong before.

Pretty sure Ryan cleared the request with the President before announcing it.

Many a time I’ve heard of the prospect of the POTUS addressing congress and reflexively thought, “Yeah, big whoop”. But hell, I’d tune into this.

In times past, I would’ve welcomed a joint session address. I recall how tumultuously President Reagan was received by both parties throughout his presidency. It was exhilarating. You never had to worry about partisan misbehavior. Decorum ruled.
To: SMGFan
“How many Dems will stay away?”
exactly. The same 67 that skipped President Trump’s inauguration? I wonder if there’s some way to make they stay away completely for the next 8 years, you know, because President Trump isn’t “legitimate”?

I am fairly confident Paul Ryan will get his comeuppance in a way that destroys his career. Thanks for the smile I did enjoy that.

I heard enough about Donald over the decades that when I heard he announced, at first I didn’t believe it, then I thought yeah he’s unusual and has baggage but it’s all in the open and he would work hard to make changes so, sure why not him!
