The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, told his top agents from around the country that he had been asked by President Trump to stay on the job running the federal governments top law enforcement agency, according to people familiar with the matter.

That’s what I thought at the time Comey had his presser announcing why he would not indict the Hildebeast.
He was basically indicating his hands were tied, and who had tightly tied them.
This coupled with his gushing about his great respect for Bill and Hill on Friday and Barry apparently not feeling a need to give Hill a pardon gives me a sinking sense about the agencies that could well do Trump in.
Folks do not let the media control us. The story is in progress, but the story is ruined if you read the ending first. Enjoy the story.
Sheriff Clark comes to mind.
“Comey made it sound like he wanted to prosecute Hillary and had ample evidence to, but had been directed not to. Might be smart to retain the guy.”
Yes, maybe. The Obama DOJ was never going to prosecute Hillary. He listed many of her violations, but curiously said they would not move forward. Maybe he was waiting for a DOJ that would take action on FBI findings? Why else would he reopen the email investigation so close to the Election Day, and then close it again. It was almost like he wanted to remind everyone what a criminal Clinton is.
God has given Trump good wisdom and wise council through election etc, even in spite of Trump’s own old pattern of silly mistakes.
Why doubt Trump now?
you can choose what you want to think or type on FR, but many seem to be jumping to fear mode over a possible choice Trump made to keep a man who could be useful, for a while.
And one more thing...even though she receives a pardon...I don’t think she can run for office with a felony conviction, so say goodbye to her aspirations to run for Mayor of New York.
I don’t buy it. He cleared her again a week before the election.
He should have resigned if he didn’t feel he could have done the right thing.
We live in interesting times...and appear to not have a fool for President. This should be interesting.
There is no excuse for the FBI not having done a decent investigation to start. Nobody should be above or below the law — especially in such areas of national defense.
Trump can’t fire Comey, he has a 10 year term that can’t be terminated. I am not sure I believe that Trump really wants him to stay, he just can’t get rid of him.
He may well leave if the right pressure is applied. Comey at this point is very tainted and bad for the morale of the FBI.
OH NO!! He is part of the stinking swamp!! Drain the sucker!!!!!!
Don’t even try to tell me you are the sole recipient of God’s plans and what he has or has not imparted to Trump!
Not even! This thread is in News/Activism, not Religion.
Your thoughts and ideas and religion are your own, but to allow that to creep into a situation of castigating someone else’s belief about news is completely reprehensible in my opinion. My auntie used to say “Get down off the Cross, somebody else needs the wood.”
I don’t preach to you so keep your smug preaching to yourself.
The president can fire the FBI Director for cause. It's pretty easy to come up with causes.
What is Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s opinion of James Comey?
I am okay with that-for now (reserving the option of changing my mind later, lol!)
With Trump as President and Sessions as AG, Comey will be held to account by his superiors.
Why pardon?
Rudy?
Liberal love fest? Bromance? Comie comeys FBI allowed Boston bombing, San Bernardino and the airport killer.. and he is staying? After days of praying trump would stand at the bridge while pence drives the ship.. file this under dt, liberal complete with a trillion dollar “infrastructure plan”, working something out on the dreamers.. picking winners and losers Christmas taxpayer cash to carrier and sprint.
No, Rudy has issues. He’s already stepped away from any role that requires confirmation, likely because of this.
I’m with you.
