So, let’s say Im in charge of the CIA and after much prayer I decide to effect God’s will in the affairs of man.
And I decide that means supporting the jihadi head choppers to get rid of Assad in Syria. Because obviously Assad is a greater evil, as conveyed by MY interpretation of the Bible.
Are you OK with that?
What if I decided Putin was so ungodly and evil that the US population and politicians had to be convinced that war with Russia was the only Christian thing to do and then undertook a propaganda campaign along those lines.
Still OK, or are you going to tell me that can’t happen because of checks and balances.
No thanks. I’ll be my own check on such nonsense and make an enemy of anyone who endeavors for such arrangement.

Everyone, sooner or later, has to make decisions, including those in positions of authority, such as the President and the Director of the CIA. My point is that, hopefully, those decisions are based on Christian principles. What do you propose should guide the decision-making process, the worldview of Hitler or Lenin? Or your own personal idea of what is the best decision? Perhaps you prefer to follow the principles set forth in the Koran? No? Well stop talking in silly generalities and give me some specifics about your preferred process for making decisions. Because thus far you’ve given me nothing but gibberish!
What would happen if a land shark came and bit you? Come on . . . get real
The CIA director is not a dictator, nor are Christians commanded to effect God’s will in the affairs of man, but in their own affairs. This results in wisdom. Wisdom is in short supply in leadership. Relativism and an Anything-But-Jesus worldview are aplenty.
Example: These folks believe that it is religiously driven for them to wipe Christians from the face of the earth, he added. They abhor Christians, Is this true or false?
Example: TWT: You mentioned jihad, for example, and would you agree with the lesser and greater and lesser jihad framework? I mean, thats pretty standard.
BRENNAN: Sure, it is absolutely.
TWT: Can you give me an example of a jihad in history? Like, has there ever been a jihad an armed jihad anywhere in history? Has it ever existed for real, or is it just a concept?
BRENNAN: Absolutely it has.
TWT: Example?
BRENNAN: Im not going to go into this sort of history discussion here.
TWT: But its important to frame the concept, because we want to say that what al-Qaeda is doing is not jihad. They say it is, and Abdul Azzam has said, in fact, theres not even a greater jihad. That thats just a myththat hadith didnt even really happen. That theres only armed jihad. Ayatollah Khomeini said there is only armed jihad, and it would be useful to be able to characterize or to contrast what theyre doing and what they claim against a legitimate armed jihad in the past.
BRENNAN: I think weve finished. I have to get going.
