President Trump spent Sunday in deep thought of the executive orders he would make on Monday, as he has declared Monday the true opening day of his Administration. His plans for Monday include the following according to inside sources:

1. Look for a possible hiring freeze at executive branch 2. 5-year lobbying ban on transition and administration officials 3. Mexico City policy, which prevents foreign NGOs from getting U.S. family planning money if they provide abortions with non-U.S. funds. (It’s already illegal to use U.S dollars on abortions.) The Mexico City executive order could come as soon as today. 4. Task the Defense Secretary and joint chiefs to come up with plan to eviscerate ISIS

Look for
  1. a possible hiring freeze at executive branch [GOOD]
  2. 5-year lobbying ban on transition and administration officials [GOOD]
  3. Mexico City policy, which prevents foreign NGOs from getting U.S. family planning money if they provide abortions with non-U.S. funds. (It’s already illegal to use U.S dollars on abortions.) The Mexico City executive order could come as soon as today. [GOOD]
  4. Task the Defense Secretary and joint chiefs to come up with plan to eviscerate ISIS [GREAT]
  5. Report on readiness, and something cyber security related [GOOD]
  6. Border/immigration: Something on sanctuary cities, expand E-Verify, an extreme vetting proposal [GREAT]
  7. Trade: Withdraw from TPP and a thorough review of NAFTA [GREAT]
  8. Watch for dozens of EPA executive orders coming down the pike. EPA has clean water-related and some 30,000 foot regulatory ones lined up [immediately].? [GREAT]

Not seeing anything to complain about here.

Clarifying: as long as the EPA ones are to cut the scope of the EPA and trim EPA regulations, it’s GREAT. Otherwise, worrisome.

NUKE THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL EPA!!!

The feds have no constitutional right or authority to meddle in or interfere with the environment or environmental issues. Environmental issues are states’ issues.

This is from Whitehouse.gov the first day re energy which kicks the greenies in the you know where.

An America First Energy Plan:

Energy is an essential part of American life and a staple of the world economy. The Trump Administration is committed to energy policies that lower costs for hardworking Americans and maximize the use of American resources, freeing us from dependence on foreign oil.

For too long, we’ve been held back by burdensome regulations on our energy industry. President Trump is committed to eliminating harmful and unnecessary policies such as the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule. Lifting these restrictions will greatly help American workers, increasing wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years.

Sound energy policy begins with the recognition that we have vast untapped domestic energy reserves right here in America. The Trump Administration will embrace the shale oil and gas revolution to bring jobs and prosperity to millions of Americans. We must take advantage of the estimated $50 trillion in untapped shale, oil, and natural gas reserves, especially those on federal lands that the American people own. We will use the revenues from energy production to rebuild our roads, schools, bridges and public infrastructure. Less expensive energy will be a big boost to American agriculture, as well.

The Trump Administration is also committed to clean coal technology, and to reviving America’s coal industry, which has been hurting for too long.

In addition to being good for our economy, boosting domestic energy production is in America’s national security interest. President Trump is committed to achieving energy independence from the OPEC cartel and any nations hostile to our interests. At the same time, we will work with our Gulf allies to develop a positive energy relationship as part of our anti-terrorism strategy.

Lastly, our need for energy must go hand-in-hand with responsible stewardship of the environment. Protecting clean air and clean water, conserving our natural habitats, and preserving our natural reserves and resources will remain a high priority. President Trump will refocus the EPA on its essential mission of protecting our air and water.

A brighter future depends on energy policies that stimulate our economy, ensure our security, and protect our health. Under the Trump Administration’s energy policies, that future can become a reality.

Remove the EPA NOW! A fake environment organization whose sole purpose is left wing politics.

Replace it with a truly politics free organization if necessary but the EPA is broke beyond repair.

NO body picks up on the President spent a quiet Sunday ...

I have demanded a quiet Sunday my entire life ... my wife and kids ... we do nothing but family on Sunday.

Our President spent a quiet Sunday.

Perhaps all you naysayers should try that sometime.

(not you, gramps)

Environmental issues are states’ issues.

Well, this is a challenge. Suppose a state - let's say Iowa - decided to dump all its raw sewage and toxic chemicals into the Mississippi knowing that it would be swept away into other states to deal with? Is that reasonable? The other states have their critical waterway destroyed, no good for recreation or commerce because it's hazardous. Hell, it might even be flammable. What recourse do they have if this is a purely state-by-state issue? Would this case be an interstate commerce issue, since the Mississippi is a crucial commercial waterway for the midwest?

Quite Sundays, church and then family have been a family tradition for at least 3 generations in both sides of our clan.

* Spanish taken off the WH web site. Yeah!!

When asked about this, Spicer said at the press conference today that some essential pages were put up immediately after the Inauguration and that others would be forthcoming. It seemed to imply that there will be some Spanish pages later.

...It seemed to imply that there will be some Spanish pages later.

Maps showing routes from all sanctuary cities to approved HOV (high occupancy vatos) USA-Mexican border crossings are being prepared even now. Look for the Adios Muchachos page, coming sooner than you think.

Exit tax rates will be variable, adjust for traffic conditions, just as in Northern Virginia.

Andale, Andale!

This issue would be an individual case/controversy for SCOTUS applying only to those parties in the suit and any other conservatory with the same facts and questions of law. In this case all states affected by such action would be party to the suit. That is why we have a SCOTUS.

If interstate commerce were affected, then Congress could also pass a law dealing with the problem.

LIMIT the power of the feds to what the Constitution authorizes. DON’T give the feds the sweeping and unconstitutional powers that has brought us to the brink.

The greatest problem and threat to America, our way of life, and our Free Constitutional Republic is the mostly unconstitutional $4 trillion federal government. The feds are the 800 pound gorilla in the room that has been ignored way too long.

The most illegal and deadly entity in America is the federal government. Remember, throughout history more people have been killed by their own government than by any invading force. The feds are not, never has been, nor ever will be your friend. That is not their Constitutional character or purpose.

The feds are constitutionally designed to help protect our country (NOT to be your friend) and will do so IF the feds remain in their constitutional cage. But out of their constitutional cage as they have been for the last 120 years or so, they are the greatest threat to our safety and freedom.

I cut my teeth on the Massachusetts Blue Laws of the 50's

I remember when they were repealed (not the date, but that I was young) and I remember it was weird NOT getting gasoline on Saturday.

The highlight of OUR Sunday was The Wonderful World of Disney, The Ed Sullivan Show and a couuple of other variety types I can't remember.

We had school tomorrow anyway and went to bed about 8 or 9

Rasmussen is one of the few polls I believe, because they got the 2016 Presidential election result correct.

When we/I were in the Navy in/out of Norfolk, we adapted very well to the Blue laws. That was basically how we were raised.
