There was little mention of her parents being with her They witnessed the inauguration of their son in law as the President of the United States. Think of their lives behind the iron curtain and compare it to their lives now and in the future.
I remember hearing Melania talking about her dad having a shop/store when she was younger and the country was Communist controlled and the difference after it no longer was. I’ve thought about her parents during the events and how in awe they must have been both with their SIL becoming POTUS and Melania FLOTUS as well as the crowds at and pageantry and patriotism of the inauguration activities. They were probably bursting with pride (rightly so) as well as being perhaps a bit overwhelmed by the magnitude.
