Millennials voted in a greater percentage for Trump than expected and voted for 3rd party candidates. Throughout our political history younger voters lean Democrat, older voters Republican. It is less about the uniqueness of the group that are “Millenials” and more about their age, hence they would be expected to become more conservative with time.
Millenials have no life experiences to compare the Obama years with so the economic improvements & opportunities going forward will be an eye opener for them.
Thanks for the addition of that map. It is a factor to be considered and why no quarter can be given in the struggle, IMO.
The same would have been for Gen Xers a few years ago.
Children always break socialist.
Then they get jobs and start to accumulate wealth. When they see the wealth being removed at the point of a gun and given to the non-productive elements of society and the world they change opinions quickly.
Remember, just a few years ago the pundits were saying demographics were the end of the Republican Party.
Your lefty friend cannot imagine the strong likelihood that he and the millenials will eventually grow up.

The thing is, everyone eventually grows up. I voted democrat until I was 30.
