A man accused of shoving a police officer from his bicycle during a demonstration to protest Donald Trump's inauguration as president Friday night was ordered held on $10,000 bail.
The incident started a few blocks away from Trump Tower in the first block of West Kinzie Street about 11 p.m. when the officer told Matthew J. Jennings he was not allowed to walk in the street and asked him to move to the sidewalk, according to a police report.
Jennings, 22, then pushed the officer off his bicycle, causing the officer to fall and hit the ground and suffer minor bruising to his left leg, according to court documents, which said the bike's rear derailler was damaged.
Jennings tried to run away but another officer placed him under arrest.
At the station, officers ran his name and found Jennings was also wanted on a warrant for an unrelated domestic battery. . .

This will of course fuel the rage Trump is a tyrant, but not the way i see it, they are riotous thugs causing terror, we must be brave enough and wise enough to deal with them.

Being charged with a federal crime is no picnic. This is what should have been happening the last 8 years, but Obama encouraged this sort of thing. It’s so nice to hear the scum in DC are getting charged with a federal crime of rioting. Let them have to go to court hearings, pay lawyers, get a record.

Only 10K for assault on an officer? That’s not much. Should be 100K.
I seem to recall an elderly couple fined $135,000 by a black robed tyrant for refusing to make a cake for a pair of male queers. $10,000 for a violent attack on a police officer seems pretty tame and I bet the attackers fine will be some fraction of his bail.
I hope he gets some prison time. $ 10.000 bond is a felony bond.
