Hours after taking the oath of office, President Donald Trump followed up on his campaign pledge to start chipping away at Obamacare and curb federal regulations.
Trump signed an executive order Friday evening in the Oval Office to ease the burden of Obamacare as we transition to repeal and replace, White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters.
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus also sent a memo titled Regulatory Freeze Pending Review to block all pending regulations under review but not yet in the Federal Register.
The new presidents goal is to repeal the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, which will require congressional actions.

That is excellent! Thank you, President Trump!!!
I went to the Post Office on the 19th and what do I find? An intimidating letter from the IRS urging me to get insurance or have to pay the fine/tax/penalty/whatever the f they're calling it. The last day of Jugear's term. LOLOL
B!*w me, IRS.
Nice summary, catnip. I’m saving it.
Like taking over the student loan business from the banks, the government wanted this revenue for itself just like the medical insurance industry money through thier own pay to play medical insurance industry friends like AARP.
Our son has been fighting cancer for 27 months.
When he lost his insurance as a result of no longer being able to work, he ended up on ObamaCare.
Last year, his premiums were $90/month with $500 out of pocket.
The company first notified him hes premiums would be "$250/month this year with $1,000 out of pocket.
He was then notified he couldn't stay on Obama Care because he's receiving $1500/month SS Disability, and has to go on Medicare.
Since Medicare is a %80 plan, he has to pay the basic $140, $50 for d the prescription plan, and $350 for supplemental - which has a $6000 out of pocket.
The $1500 disability is his only income so now, he makes $18K a year and his health insurance costs are to be:
$6480 a year for coverage...
$6000 a year out of pocket before the supplemental insurance kicks in for a total of
$12480 a year (before co-pays for medications so lets call it.
$13,500 a year.
No way he can live on the remaining $4500 a year - especially since his SS Disability is being taxed.
We sent messages to our Congressman/Senators and I even dropped a note to the Trump team in case they need a story about how illegals and other non-productive sorts get a free ride (he supposedly doesn't qualify for Medicaid like they do) while hard workers who have things really go South end up getting long-term colonoscopies with a splintered implements.
You kmean like Obama did when he postponed the deadline for insurance companies to terminate existing plans?
I’ll admit, that is problematic. Hopefully, this one is within the law.
Personally, I would have repealed all the Obama waivers and let the law take effect in full. There would then be a hue and cry across the land to repeal it, no matter how many people took advantage of it.
