most of my family are flaming libs, they believe the crud they shovel, my brother says his logic is based on sound thinking and mine is based on lies...it never ends, I just smiled and said I know the bubble gum machine you get your truth from..they gasped like how dare you at the dinner table,,i smiled and said, don’t tread on me...yes I am the black sheep, love my family, but proud to be a conservative christian
Same here. I'm the Conservative White Sheep. However, my family keeps a wide berth from me because I tell them how stupid Liberalism is, and because I'm a big guy I've cowed THEM.
My close family and friends are 90% conservative. When a lib is at one of our gatherings they are mainly silent. The reason for they’re silence is that they are really boring antagonists with no sound answers in a discussion. So they just keep quiet.

Both of my husband’s sisters say the same thing as your brother. They don’t even realize that they are not doing their own thinking, but depending on the “in” crowd to offer up liberal sanctioned opinions. That crowd approval makes them feel safe. They are invincibly ignorant.
For some, politics is a fashion statement which inherently means that ego plays a big part. That makes them double down on their wrongheadedness rather than face the fact that what they believe doesn’t make sense. They will do all kinds of mental gymnastics and call it logic to save face. For them, the idea of examining their beliefs is moot because they won’t change them anyway and would rather not know.
Good for you. You are doing the right thing. I have a cousin in the exact same position and he has fun tweaking his gasping, blubbering siblings and their kids. Hey, they need to hear the truth from somewhere. He is the voice of reason which they do their best to out debate.
