I recall President Trump later on, the next day IIRC, saying (paraphrasing) that the good Lord had held off the rain but then later it started.
This part of his inaugural address stands out; when he was talking about the military and LEOs protecting the nation:
...We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement and, most importantly, we are protected by God. ...
When he got to the “and” part, his voice changed to a stronger tone, and emphasized the rest of the sentence.
