BTW I’m passably smart. Used to be OK in French. Kind of rusty though. Can hear Spanish but not speak it well. Tried Japanese and failed horribly.
Anyone who is fluent in at least two languages cannot be an idiot. JMHO.
I tried French but kept getting it jumbled with the Spanish I took for 4 years - and have now mostly forgotten.
