To Save Cash for Charity

Donald Trump shut down negotiations to get a huge rock band at one of his Inaugural balls ... in order to cut costs and potentially save tens of millions for charity. Inauguration sources tell us the Committee was close to landing a legendary group -- one that's in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame -- but when the President-elect found out they wanted more than $1 million for the gig he pulled the plug.
We're told Trump implored the rockers to reduce their appearance fee -- but when they refused he told the Inaugural Committee to move on to other artists. Mind you, there's plenty of dough. The Committee's reportedly received more than $90 million in donations, but we're told Trump instructed all involved to keep expenses in the low millions because whatever is left over is going to charity.

I dont know if this is it, but heard on the radio that B Street Band (something for B Springstein?) was going to play and now is not going to play, so possibly this is it.It was a local (to my area) Springsteen cover band patterned after Bruce's E Street band (BTW, E Street is less than a dozen blocks from my home). Since Brucie-boy doesn't like Trump they decide to "honor" him by not performing. 15 minutes of fame, redux.

I have my doubts about the accuracy of that Radar Online article. Their list of who is not performing is totally inaccurate - it includes many confirmed performers, and those who were not even asked to perform.

Now there’s a blast from the past. The Wallace and Ladmo Show and A.J. Bayless supermarkets. Grew up in the Metro Center area (before Metro Center)
Coached little league and actually had Pat McMayhon’s kid on my team. Another year I coached John F. Long’s son.

Kiss refused. Shannon Tweed says KISS refused. Gene Simmons probably would have done it for nothing if he could get the rest of the band on board.
His wife is a Hillary loving harpy and probably raised holy hell when the invite was issued.
But then, Simmons has stated that they were never invited. Probably to keep from looking like a p-whipped eunuch.

I would be highly skeptical of anything TMZ said.

It saves face because so many people are afraid to perform. Key word bolded. How many conservative groups would have been fearful of performing at Obama's inaugurations, if they had been invited?
Some of those groups should learn the Chick-Fil-A lesson; a leftist boycott equals increased support from normal folks!

Just be aware that Harry Levin did a good interview with Trump and has had a relationship with him.
I do think he is going to be sending TMZ info

Trump is going to run his presidency like a business that needs to keep costs and expenses down. He has prided himself in bringing his development projects in ahead of schedule and below budget.
Compare that to the slough off community organizer and his family, who treated the taxpayer-funded US Treasury, as their personal cookie jar and candy store.

Taylor Swift always seemed to be a pedophile offer. The old joke was Brittany Spears always sold out her concerts because perverted old men had credit cards.

My guess is the Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger seems to have pretty conservative opinions these days.

Yep. Hubkap was way ahead of his time rolling on the floor playing guitar. You can find their t shirts on line too. I got one a few years back. I still remember one of the commercials from Wallace & Ladmo: "Don't cook tonight call Chicken Delight!"

I heard they were previously trying to get the Beach Boys, so it might have been them.
To: Col Frank Slade
