Today’s math lesson is stolen from, I mean, generously provided by, FReeper FourtySeven, who does math better than he spells. Or maybe he’s from across the pond where they put extra u’s in words and an s on the end of math.

47 is an interesting number in it’s on right. You can generate a sequence of primes by starting with 2, then multiplying each number by 2 and adding 1. 47 is the last prime in this sequence before you produce a composite number
Here’s the sequence:
2,5,11,23,47
I use the “u’s” Americans just won’t use.
