Former Republican Sen. Rick Santorum announced Tuesday that he is joining CNN as senior political commentator.

The former GOP presidential candidate revealed the news on Twitter after alerting his followers to a “big announcement” coming soon.

I’m convinced that there are two kinds of people on these political commentary shows. There are the Republicans who are there for fun, the money, the country club atmosphere and keep their name out there with their constituency... And then there are Democrats who are there to win the war against Republicans at all costs.
