Ben Stein WRECKS Hollywood “Snobs” With One Killer Statement
sarahpalin.com ^ | January 17, 2017 | Mary Kate Knorr

With only a few days to go until President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, Ben Stein has stepped out into the political scene once again, via an interview with Fox News Host Neil Cavuto.

In the interview, Stein tears Hollywood a new one.

“A biggest bunch of bullies you’ve ever seen in your life…they are a united black-listing front who will go against anyone that they think is politically undesirable. They are not for freedom of speech, they are not for freedom of expression. They are exactly the opposite of that.” Wow—a pretty major admission from someone who’s mingled in Hollywood circles since the 1970’s.

He went on:

“They’re also incredible snobs, so they look down on Donald Trump even though he’s rich because they think he’s trashy rich. Like Archie Bunker who suddenly got 11 billion dollars.” What an insight.

In the midst of the 2016 Election Cycle, Stein was featured in a Chuck Grassley ad which mimicked his role in the iconic movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

The ad surprised many Americans who’d been previously unaware of Stein’s political career. Prior to his time as an actor, Stein was a speechwriter for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

It’s rare we hear such harsh criticism of Hollywood from an insider—and despite his conservative views, Stein certainly is one.

Between the speech we heard from Meryl Streep last week at the Golden Globes and the daily reports of celebrities rescinding their commitments to perform at the inauguration next week, it’s clear Hollywood’s pretty dead-set on bullying Americans into feeling how they want them to feel.

The only problem? It’s not really working for them (see: 2016 Presidential Election).

I did not attribute the stuff I posted to Ben Stein. I happened to receive it just now from a friend via e-mail. It had nothing directly to do with the article that was the subject of the post (Ben Stein), but I thought that it deserved to be seen by Freepers. Sorry if I wasn’t more clear.

Sorry...the leap to assume you were connecting it to Stein was mine. An embarrassing offense made all the worse since it was made as I was taking a stance for accuracy and attribution. Ouch. And mea culpa.

“Hollywood is the trashy rich. The are the McCarthy Hollywood hated because he labeled some as communists and black listed some.”

The Hollywood Ten came out of the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). McCarthy was a Senator.

McCarthy was most interested in rooting out communists in the federal government, not Hollywood. Interestingly, Richard Nixon was on the HUAC during its initial investigations of communist influences in Hollywood, before he became a Senator.

I’m not picking on you; it’s a common error to associate McCarthy with the HUAC investigations of Hollywood. His claim to fame (or infamy to some) was his crusade against commies in government.

Hollywood is full of people who are there only because a genetic chance resulted in their having a pleasing appearance and because repeated performances of dialogue written usually by others eventually results in footage suitable for a finished motion picture - they have no room whatsoever criticizing a man as accomplished as Trump....

Id think that it’s not bad having a legacy of crusading against communists in government. Was it Hoover then for Hollywood? Want to get it straight and be informed!

Donald Trump’s father was a rich man. Donald is second generation wealth. Most of these Hollywood bozos were waiting tables or parking cars with their tongues hanging out for a chance at a hemorrhoid cream commercial. They surround and pay people to tell them how wonderful they are even though they are tremendously over paid and over rated. Their egos are through the roof but stroking it costs lots of money. Then they shell out tons of money for a psychiatrist to tell them they are OK and give them a big bottle of “feel good” and send them on their way. In other words they are a plastic mess!

“Id think that it’s not bad having a legacy of crusading against communists in government. Was it Hoover then for Hollywood? Want to get it straight and be informed!”

McCarthy was unfairly maligned by the left, which focused on his style (he was something of a bully) and his personal shortcomings (he was an alcoholic), rather than the substance of his allegations, which were largely true. I think Ann Coulter has a book that devotes a chapter to setting the record straight about McCarthy.

Hoover’s FBI carried out most of the investigations into the activities and beliefs of the Hollywood Ten. The others involved are mostly lost in the fog of history, including congressmen like Hamilton Fish III and Martin Dies.

The more they keep it up the more seats they will lose in the next election. They still don’t get it.

They can't win by playing to 15% of the leftist population and their donors.
