...April 15, ... the Clinton Global Initiative is formally shut down. The CGI is a program of the Clinton Foundation, centered around ... networking event of choice for corporations, nonprofits, nongovernmental organizations and wealthy philanthropists. -snip-

But there was never much official explanation of why CGI would need to shut down in the case of a Clinton defeat. After all, the world didn't run out of poor people or sick people on November 8. But after the election, some of the foundation's donors acted as if the causes CGI supported were no longer worthy. -snip-

Why would foreign governments suddenly lose interest in the charitable work the Clinton Foundation purported to do? They wouldn't, unless the Clinton Foundation and CGI had existed to give foreign governments and businessmen a way to curry favor with a future president .... Why keep operating if there's no influence left to peddle? -snip-

... WIkiLeaks documents revealed just how blurry the line was between the foundation's non-profit activities and Bill Clinton's for-profit activities. In a 2011 memo to Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, John Podesta, and members of the foundation's board, the ex-president's longtime aide Doug Band attempted to clarify ... -snip-

Since 2001, President Clinton's business arrangements have yielded more than $30 million for him personally, with $66 million to be paid out over the next nine years should he choose to continue with the current engagements. In short, when Band and his colleagues called up wealthy individuals and institutions — all of whom would have a strong incentive to be on good terms with Hillary Clinton, the likely future president — they sought financial help for the foundation and lucrative work for Bill Clinton.

The line between charitable giving and the Clintons' personal enrichment was exceptionally blurry, and those involved knew it....

How will Chelsea and deadbeat husband survive without the influx of cash from the Foundation? Someone may have to get a legitimate job.

You know anyone who gave before and ceased when she lost is admitting that the money was only pay for play. A pre bribe if you would. Otherwise the flow would continue.

If the Clintons are in legal trouble because of the Clinton Foundation, then Chelsea is too & I think that will preoccupy a lot of her time. Between her Lack of looks, personality, & charm & her no-longer-politically-powerful elderly parents, who may or may not be around during an auspicious time for a Senate run, I don’t see Chelsea doing it. The Clintons will not regain political power through Chelsea.

If you read the Podesta emails, Chelsea often said “my father” & much less often “my mother”. Bill, The Walking Cadaver, who looks like he’s nipping on embalming fluid every day, won’t be around but so long & I think he’d have to be the one supporting Chelsea before she’d do it. One other thing - a lot of the Clinton long-time staff couldn’t stand Chelsea once she got involved with the Foundation - felt like she was “a spoiled brat” and caused trouble for them. They won’t be behind a Chelsea political run. My 2 cents.

I agree with you that “daughter” may not really want to do this .. and her father’s consent would be important to her. However, Hillary’s pursuit of political power may be a factor .. only her health could stop her.

But, I’ve also wondered if moving daughter closer to mom and dad is really because of both parents obvious decline.

Chelsea said last year that her home (for hubby, kids, & her) is in New York City & she was not going to DC to serve as her mom’s First Lady. That being said (not wanting to move), the early word out on the house HillBilly bought next door was that it was going to be a guest house and the Clintons were thinking Chelsea & the grandkids could use it when they were visiting Granny & Grandpa Clinton. That made sense at the time & still does. Having two active grand kids underfoot might be a bit much ... next door when visiting would be a perfect arrangement, especially if HillBilly are dealing with (serious) health issues & I believe they are.

That’s where an audit comes into play now, in the aftermath. The citizens of these countries that donated to CGI should be reexamining their politicos.

Chelsea was causing trouble because she was actually naive and unaware how crooked and corrupt her parents have become through the Clinton Family Foundation. She began asking too many questions and she ordered the audit to clean it up and discover their legal exposure for fraud.

She spoiled everyone’s fun, that’s all. It’s doubtful that she could get elected outside of NY. The DOJ needs to review the CGI family business and prosecute all the abusers involved in the Clinton pay-to-play scheme.

That’s very interesting. I am actually in agreement with that .. since I believe the children would possibly be very annoying to anyone who is gravely ill.

So, a guest house seems appropriate. And, maybe the daughter has figured out that her mother’s pitch to get her involved in politics is “her mothers’ idea”, and not hers.

Apparently, while spoiled rotten; she may actually be stronger than I realized.

EMPHASIS should be placed here: the Clintons raised money for a specific project, and got people to contribute for that particular project ....... soliciting by snailmail or email.

Podesta’s recent email drop asserts contributions were diverted elsewhere. Monies donated to “help the poor” diverted to finance Chelsea’s wedding, Bill’s globe-trotting, high-end staff salaries, glitzy events, admin costs, is considered mail/electronic fraud.

Some alarmed observers inside Germany believe the German government has some explaining to do for Merkel's donation to the Clinton Foundation that appears under the heading “Donors and Grantors”.

“Why does a Ministry support the election campaign of a U.S. presidential candidate?” blogged Vera Lengsfeld — former civil rights activist and German parliamentarian. “It seems German taxpayers unwittingly financed Hillary Clinton’s election campaign.”

There's also a questions as to the number of German Ministries that committed tax dollars to the Clintons.
