Actually, no.
Instead, they (Liberals and race-promoters) got rid of "Washington's Birthday" and Lincoln's Birthday" for some mushy abomination called "President's Day" - whatever that means. (Do we have a "Congress Day", or "Supreme Court Day"?... and if not, why not?)
But, whatever it means, Washington and Lincoln have been swept onto the trash pile and out of Americana and successfully out of the minds of American school kids and American culture and the realm of heroic American figures which we can look up to.
I'll bet not 1 in 100 American school children nowadays can give their birthdates and what they really did for this country.
But, whatever it means, Washington and Lincoln have been swept onto the trash pile and out of Americana and successfully out of the minds of American school kids and American culture and the realm of heroic American figures which we can look up to.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Which, of course, is exactly why that abominable change was made, and those responsible should be identified and held up to everlasting condemnation by patriotic Americans.
Thanks for correcting my long standing mistaken belief.
I love the Columbus Day parade in Manhattan. My nephews and nieces dont give a ####, but that’s as should be. Like I said, they’re 3rd generation and far removed.
It’s a shame about the president’s holidays. Washing especially!!!
But he was just a lousy no good slave owner.
And Columbus was a brutal tyrant who slaughtered 100s of thousands.
Yes, sarcasm.
we celebrate too many cultures who’ve contributed almost nothing instead of ones that have contributed so much.
BTW, I speak Italian and have some family over there, but besides earthquakes that might affect family, I couldn’t give a #### about what the country is up to.
Though the immigration problem saddens me, that’s their problem. Mine is America’s issues.
