Canadian Think Tank: Jane Fonda’s ‘An Environmental Hypocrite’ For Protesting Oil Sands
The Daily Caller ^ | 15 Jan 17 | David Krayden

A Canadian conservative think tank says Jane Fonda’s “an environmental hypocrite” after the left-wing activist and actress protested the Canadian oil sands in northern Alberta.

The Manning Centre told The Daily Caller on Sunday that Fonda excoriates the oil sands project because the oil it yields produces greenhouse gasses. But Colin Craig, media manager for the centre, says Fonda has “a carbon footprint the size of a small town,” referring to her jet-setting lifestyle that includes a lot of world travel.

Do You Agree With This Criticism Of Jane Fonda?

Yes No

Like all Hollywood elite, she thinks reducing our carbon footprint is for the common low-borns. You know, the ones who aren’t actors. They’re supposed to jog to work every day, not flush the toilet, freeze in the winter, and all that stuff the unimportant rabble is supposed to do if they knew their places. That way, the Hollywood high-borns can burn all the petroleum they want and still please the earth goddess.

no don’t agree- the better lien to take is to call her an idiot for thinking just 0.00136% of the atmosphere could possibly affect global temperatures- the amount of CO2 we produce amounts to just 0.00136% of the atmosphere- that is it- it is absolutely idiotic to think that this fraction of a % can affect global temperatures- not to mention that CO2 rises always FOLLOW temperature rises by hundreds of years- proving that CO2 is Not driving temperatures-

The better lien to take would be to call her what she is- A scheming Scam artist trying to peddle a lie

I don’t care how much CO2 she produces- she could increase that amount 100’s of times and so could the world and we still wouldn’t have enough CO2 i n the atmosphere to change temperates one iota

a friend of mine who lives in Edmonton and also worked in the oil sands was sending me hourly bulletins on Ms Fonda’s Alberta performance. It was, to use a Canadian term - a hoot.

When the NDP takes issue with her, you know she’s gone way off the reservation.

It may be a moot point. Fracking has practically beat the oil sands into the ground, so to speak. Who knows, there may be forthcoming oils sands innovations that will make it competitive again.

One idea being floated in certain circles is building a nuke plant up there. Cheap power to warm the sand, making stripping the heavy oil easier. That way even when the sands are depleted in 100 years, there will still be several gigawatts of electricity for other uses. Win-win!

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

The NDP is a “temporary” government in Alberta that only won the last provincial elections because of divisions in the conservative movement. Even NDP leaders are smart enough to figure out that it’s not a good career move to undermine the province’s major industries.

We conservatives have not yet mastered the Alinslyite rule of forcing your enemies to live by their own rules. Probably because our enemies don’t really believe in those rules. Those rules are their weapons to defeat us.
