Being a photography buff myself, I take pity on the lowly cameraman, even if he’s part of the commie press.
Maybe I’m more concerned with the camera itself.

Check the coffee filter for grounds. If grounds are not there, then instant coffee was the culprit :- )
I'm not a lawyer, but I do remember McDonald's was sued $4 million successfully for serving very hot coffee that caused injury. Though if I'm not mistaken McDonald's won on appeal.
A photographer for ABC was attacked with hot coffee while they were reporting on the cancelled event with MILO and Martin Shkreli at UC Davis.
