Anchor baby: term for a child born in the U.S. to a mother who is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence.
The child then automatically qualifies as an American citizen, supposedly under “jus soli” and the rights guaranteed in the 14th Amendment and can thus act as a sponsor for other family members upon reaching the age of majority.

I would also like to see persons from countries which allow them to become citizens of both U.S. and their country of origin denied citizenship application and retained only on visa status. I would also like to see a limit on visas and the number of renewals.
