The Obama administration is ending the "wet foot, dry foot" policy that granted residency to Cubans who arrived in the United States without visas.
That's according to a senior administration official, who said the policy change was effective immediately.

“Dual citizenship and the asinine anchor baby policies need to be scrapped as well.”
You can’t scrap Dual citizenship as the status of being a dual citizen is dependent upon the citizenship laws of other countries.
Suppose a person whose parents are US citizens is born in Australia.
That person is a US citizen and they are a citizen of Australia.
How exactly is that a good thing? Cuban-Americans have been among the most patriotic and conservative people in this country, because they, unlike most native citizens, actually know the alternative.
He is doing this as payback to the Cubans who vote conservative. What a bully and crybaby snowflake Obama is!
Another obvious reason for this Obama’s last hour edict is that when he flew to Havana to “normalize” relations with the communist thugs, the Castro brothers let him lick their a$$ with the condition that he promised to stop accepting Cuban dissidents into the US. Which he happily complies with.
Cubans like most people fleeing communism appreciate freedom most.
So Obama can’t stomach that they flee risking their lives and winning their freedom.
No surprise at all.
That policy long predates Clinton, and Clinton violated when he sent back Elian. Of course Trump can just put it back.
A person born in Australia between 26 January 1949 and 19 August 1986, automatically acquired Australian citizenship.
The jus soli principle was abolished from 20 August 1986, with persons born after that date acquiring Australian citizenship by birth only if a descendant of at least one parent who was an Australian citizen or permanent resident at the time of birth.[7] The definition of parenthood was tested in H v Minister for Immigration and Citizenship [2010] where it was held that parenthood does not necessarily require it to be of a biological nature.[8]
A child born in Australia (and who is not otherwise an Australian citizen) and who lives in Australia automatically acquires Australian citizenship on his or her 10th birthday, if the child has not been granted or otherwise acquired Australian citizenship in the meantime. This occurs automatically by operation of law, and applies irrespective of the immigration status of the child or his/her parents.

Other countries may vary.
Others have said it, I will chime in, Cuban’s lean republican.
He isn’t even trying to hide his agenda. Spitting in their face but after the election of course.
What a puke.
wow... how much more damage can this moron do before he leaves office?
Obama just proving once again he’s a petty little communist bitch.
Pointless act that will immediately be reversed.
It’s vital that as many of the subhuman animals that voted for this MF be disenfranchised as possible.
Good, only it if means ALL GET SENT HOME.
Thanks for the update on Australian citizenship laws.
It’s a bit odd, they have birthright citizenship but it does not kick in until the person is ten years old.
Good. It was an insane policy to begin with. And Clinton was right to send Elian to live with his father. A child belongs with his or her biological parents unless there is some immediate grave danger. It was carried out in an idiotic way with the militarized police though.
I HOPE it’s the last thumb.......this **** still has7 days.
It reads as if the parents move (or are removed) from Australia before then, the children go with them and don’t become citizens, and the whole family isn’t kept because “b-but they’re parents of Australian citizen children!!”. It seems like it would cut out most of the anchor babies and birth tourism without being unfair to children who actually do grow up there.
Mixed feelings here also. I understand stopping the water exits will save lives.
I also understand that the misery causes The risk taking, to the point of death.
Poor suffering Cubans. What is our Coast Guard’s duty to those who could be saved when spotted?
POST OF THE DAY.
Shush.
He still has a week.
