Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) expects to challenge Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for his Senate seat in 2018, the Texas Tribune reported.

"It's very likely that I will run for Senate in 2018," the 44-year-old El Paso representative told the outlet.

O'Rourke added that he feels "encouraged" by the feedback he's received as he considers a bid.

How much longer...... A good question

I don’t know but Texas has voted GOP since 1980 and until the dems
get many votes, a million or so statewide, it will continue.

The anti-Cruz faction on FR is tedious.

The anti-Constitution faction is sorely disappointing.

The rest of your list was good, I just don’t want George P. Bush.
He is likely the real reason the GOP decided to abandon the natural born citizen clause and the protections it afforded the country.
Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama should be proof enough of the wisdom of the founders in requiring someone who is solely an American.

Actually, in my mind Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama II is a perfect example of the failure of the court systems based upon their political affiliation or who put them in. The question as to his citizenship was never put to question in a court not overseen by an impartial judge. A perfect example of that is the trial in Atlanta where the defense team never showed, and the prosecution paraded numerous witnesses which a judge, Michael Malihi, ignored and took the previous decision of an Indiana court without doing any research. He was gutless. The Indiana trial tried more to redefine the Constitution immigration laws rather than weigh the facts using existing law.

It’s possible, but El Paso is somewhat a liberal city in Texas.

As long as Cruz supports Trump he’s a shoe in.
