NEW YORK -- Donald Trump cant be sued for defamation by a political strategist who said her reputation was trashed after then-candidate Trump called her a dummy on Twitter during last years presidential campaign, according to a judges decision made public Tuesday.
Manhattan state Supreme Court Judge Barbara Jaffe ruled that though Mr. Trumps tweets about public relations strategist and Republican consultant Cheryl Jacobus were rife with vague and simplistic insults, they were expressions of opinion protected by the First Amendment.

That said, Donald isn’t normally one to flatly turn down any kind of reasonable deal. He discussed dozens of positions, some of them with dozens of people. Is she complaining about not getting considered, or about losing out afterwards? Besides his appointees need to be able to put up with a certain amount of guff. If “dummy” throws her off balance, what would millions of Democrats do?
Jacobes has always been at the bottom of the list of “inspiring” GOPE yakkers, since GHW BUSH.
She’s just short of a Leftist and unimpressive at best and never has been on any network’s A List, as a guest yakker.

In context, it could be argued that Trump was referring to her making a bad decision to become hostile after being turned down, thus burning all her bridges.
At least in the era of “fake” she is a real dummy. :)
