Don't you already have a deer head over your fireplace?
>>Best answer ever: Self-Deporting. Trump can removed the others after the 20th.<<
They are all planning on coming back.
The effrontery is mind-blowing. They enter illegally, LEAVE, the RE-ENTER (by definition illegally) with no repercussions.
I think jail time is key to getting a handle on are border. I would not do the catch and release at the border hold any one sneaking over for three month in detention before sending them back. charge any one with trafficking a minor if they are caught sneaking children over the border and are not the parent. if they are the parent child endangerment.
It will be very interesting. Remove 20 million, or even half that and watch rents go down and wages go up. Overall health costs will go down. Welfare roles will shrink. The criminal justice system will not be quite so overloaded and crime will go down. Beer and liquor sales will go down, as will legal drug sales. Numbers of school age children will decline, reducing overcrowding all through the education system.
They all need to go. No keepers.
How do they get back into the USA without a U.S. passport or visa?
“We need to make it known to illegal aliens that if we have to deport them the law is they will be barred from applying for proper entry for 8 years.”
You’re way to soft. We don’t need ANY more immigrants, especially third-world economic parasites with two digit IQs.
You forgot e-verify. Also, many illegals have arrangements that they can subcontract from legal businesses.
I agree, but it would incentivize them to go home if they thought they could get in line. We just need to make the line much longer is all.
Exactly. The fools who said “you can’t deport 11 million people” just show their ignorance of how enforcement of borders and citizenship would really work.
Obama gave them papers, illegally. He does not have that authority but the Republicans refused to do anything to stop him.
Our problem lies with the caste system in place in Mexico. You have people of Indian heritage and those of SW European. The Indians are lower caste, and are heavily discriminated against in Mexico. That’s why they are so desperate to come here. I have sympathy for them (I live in deep south Texas and most of the TexMex restaurants have staff that don’t speak English. I love the people that work there, but we have to enforce our laws.
I am afraid to eat at places in Brownsville because so many Mexicans there hate Norte Americanos. Whole areas of the town, only a few who speak English. I was trying to find a jobsite and couldn’t find anyone who spoke English. Went to lunch with a Mexican crew (all legal). Didn’t get my food until they were finished eating. They all knew why my service was lousy.
Paybacks are hell.
From the article:
Under a little-known provision of the law, these DACAmented individuals as they call themselves can get the U.S. governments permission to travel abroad and return.A huge added bonus: The legal re-entry into the U.S. can boost the chance to win permanent legal status.
The so-called advance parole provision, which allows the DACA recipients to travel outside the U.S., is typically granted for educational, employment or humanitarian purposes.
Those granted advance parole can re-enter the country legally, which paves the way for possible permanent legal status to those who are later sponsored by a U.S. citizen, an employer or who marry a U.S. citizen.
I don’t care which side of the border they are on for Inauguration Day. I want:
1. A road along the entire border, navigable by Jeep or similar vehicle, with triple strand concertina wire barriers 100-200 yards on each side monitored frequently for vandalism. That can be done very quickly and will immediately slow the crossings of illegals. We must secure the border so illegals cannot easily enter (or reenter after being deported).
2. At least one additional barrier on our side beyond those double barbed wire obstacles, whether a fence, a wall, or something else physical to prevent unauthorized passage. Plus a barrier on the Mexican side built by Mexico to avoid penalties/retaliation. We must secure the border so illegals cannot easily enter (or reenter after being deported).
3. Pregnant illegals who are not immediately deported should be held outside the United States so their anchor babies will not be US citizens.
4. All illegals who committed the crime of entering our country illegally or of overstaying after legal entry and then committed any other crime while in our country should be deported. No exceptions. Those deported should be permanently barred from any legal reentry or path to citizenship. Any state or local government with a sanctuary policy should be barred from receiving federal funds; and illegals who access social services, including schools, should be provided those services as ordered by the courts but also required to be reported to ICE.
5. All illegals who committed the crime of entering our country illegally in the past two years, and thus have not been here long enough to have stronger ties here than at home, should be deported. In other words, no new growth in our illegal population. Those deported should be permanently barred from any legal reentry or path to citizenship. No exceptions.
6. Once those are taken care of, we should deport the remaining illegals (or better, encourage them to go home on their own). Allow those who go home on their own to apply for legal reentry and legal status. Those deported should be permanently barred from any legal reentry or path to citizenship - again, no exceptions. For those who go home on their own, we should take into account in their visa applications any past history of productive work in the United States, English proficiency if they learned our language while here, and any record of living here without using welfare and other social services.
7. The only way for illegals to gain legal status should be to apply from their home countries for legal entry after voluntarily going home. Note: We also need to fix legal immigration so that the number of immigrants approved by Congress and by the President can obtain visas in a reasonable time to come here, and they can do it from the countries we wish to receive immigrants from, after thorough background checks.
“The effrontery is mind-blowing.”
Try this crap at a Canadian airport (or Mexico): attempting to enter the country without a student or work visa, or stating an intention to `visit’ as a tourist without a return ticket, cash, and other proof evidencing the reason for your visit, and Canadian Border police will put you on the next plane back to where you came from.
The illegals realize that if they do this after January 20th—when we become a nation of laws again—they may wind up cooling their heels in a small room at the airport until ICE shows up.
I’m thinking Trump may want to keep some of the non-felon illegals around just long enough to pay for the wall. Amortize them out as the wall is built. It makes sense because many will `boomerang’ anyway without border security. Deport the castilians as security is accomplished at crossings; indios as the wall is completed.
Press conference, 1/11
Asked about reports that Mr. Trump was going to ask Congress to pay for building his much-touted wall on the southern border, Mr. Trump rejected suggestions that he was reneging on his promise to have Mexico pay for it, a signature crowd-pleaser during his campaign rallies.
He said Mexico will eventually reimburse the U.S., but that he did not want to wait a year or more for negotiations with Mexico over the issue before starting to build the wall. This will happen, whether its a tax or a payment.
Start building January 21st.
An immigration attorney explained this to me. If they go back before they are minors, he can probably get them back in the US legally without much effort. If they wait until they are adults, it becomes significantly more difficult to legalize them.
The immigration lawyers I’ve talked to in Texas are all busy these days.
TOTALLY AGREE. They arrived here ILLEGALLY. Any law relevant to these people, and enacted by King Obama after their ILLEGAL entry is NULL AND VOID as far as I’m concerned. If any of these “KEEPERS” are so smart, then they will go back where they came from, and re-enter OUR COUNTRY appropriately and LEGALLY.
Agree. There should also be a limit on the total number of approved immigrants accepted in a given year.
AMF
Absolutely. Congress should set that upper limit, and the Executive Branch should decide individual approvals.
