I no longer shake hands...unless I’m sealing a deal...haven’t been sick since I stopped...gets weird responses from people, but I tell them I’ll give them a hug, or bump elbows..and offer one or the other. Handshaking is OVERDONE...

Before the 70s, people used to wear gloves in public. Especially women.

I was telling my wife that the old press veterans were probably enjoying themselves as well. The last time they got to match wits with a president was 16 years ago with Clinton. Bush was too slow, and Hussein was completely scripted, so they haven't had a chance to go head-to-head for a long time.

That big pile of paper was important for other reasons as well: each reporter probably had not only to sign-in, but that they rec'd a copy or relevant summary as well. In the future, if they are caught purposely lying or misstating an important fact that they themselves admit to have received, then Trump can threaten to revoke their credentials.

If you've been waiting patiently for press conferences that will now be regularly occurring for the next 4/8 years, I highly doubt many will risk expulsion over intentional lies. Trump is a master on so many different levels - he understands the addiction to engagement smart people have. The press will get to ask (pointed) questions, but they have to play fair.
