Clay continued. Any black parent would tell you that they have to have this conversation with their children about police and how to act around them, so thats the conversation we need to be having here. Not about taking some kids picture off the wall it should be about, how do we change these attitudes and improve the relationships between police and the black community?
Perhaps “we” start by not physically attacking the police, or assassinating them?
Chicago is setting an example of what happens when the “community” tells LE to get lost, stay out of their hoods, leave the criminals alone-the murder rate is on course to break records. Now the “community” is bitching that the police aren't doing their jobs-when that's what they demanded.
They can't be really be so stupid as to demand that police desist from making stops for probable cause in areas with high rates of crime, and then be surprised when more violent crimes are committed. The police can't read minds and get there right before the criminal pulls the trigger.
Also, their judicial system is a revolving door, even for violent criminals. Before the CPD went fetal, they had to feel like they were trying to empty the ocean with a sieve, because as fast as they could arrest criminals, the thug-hugger judges would release them.
I guess Lacy Clay wants the painting to start the conversation with, "Son see that WILD BOAR PIG right there?"
:: Any black parent would tell you that they have to have this conversation with their children about police and how to act around them ::
Lacy closes the barn door and asks, where are the horses?
What needs to be addressed is the WHY of this conversation.
