Moving right along...

Moreover, the mandating that persons with pre-existing conditions receive the same insurance at the same rates is just wrong; it forces healthy persons to pay for unhealthy persons, instead of the persons in ill health (often self-inflicted ill health) to pay for their own insurance.

To anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together, by definition, that ceases to be insurance.

Redefining the language doesn't replace reality.

Pre-existing due to lifestyle choices (tobacco, over-eating, addictions, crime, bad driving, promiscuous sex, etc) are totally different from pre-existing that are not life-style choices.

That statement displays gross selective stupidity.

Of all those monumental stupid lifestyle choices, tobacco is the ONLY listed destructive choice which has been taxed many trillions of dollars to pay for the results--- until elected criminals realized that they could syphon off most of those taxes to support old and new pet projects totally unrelated to smoking...

No one can claim the same for beached whale overeaters, drunk driver manslaughters, the pervert disease epidemic, drug addicts.

Nice try though.

What sadly remains unsaid is that the former should pay the price for their poor choices, yes even death, while the latter can be willingly taken care of by the real and ever present Christian charities.

The growing army of indolent can join the first group, too, as a lifestyle choice.

No sane politician proposes eliminating Medicaid, Medicare, Vet care.

After that irrational grouping, I bailed.

I can certainly eliminate Medicaid, without a second thought.

Medicaid is simply undeserved charity by the federal government. I fail to find that among the enumerated powers in the Constitution.

The same for the arrogant claim that some can arbitrarly define, for everyone else, "That's who we are..." not there either.

If the frogs had been subjected to this boiling kettle all at once, they would’ve revolted over it and thrown every Rat out of office since THEY are the only ones who voted for it.

And don't forget, exempted themselves from its onerous cost provisions.

That should be a hanging offense.

Good point. Obamacare is more accurately a tithe to their religion, big government, but they certainly pretend to justify it with religious arguments.

Tobacco, Alcohol, gambling, entertainment are all heavily taxed. Many localities heavily tax fast food.

Taxing brings collective responsibility to something that should be an individual responsibility.

A step in the right direction is to eliminate all Federal sin taxes. Let state and local government have that revenue source as they choose.

pre existing condition, why should a company be expected to pick up a tab?

That employers are involved in health insurance is a quirk of post-WWII union politics. Not even in a centrally planned socialist economy does it make sense to tie health insurance to employment.

Trump should remove all tax benefits of that arrangement. Individuals should have the freedom to find companies that attach medical coverage to credit cards, to auto insurance, to life insurance, to fitness center memberships, to church affiliation.

Medical coverage need not be insurance. It is another big mistake to call one narrow form of medical coverage health insurance.

True health insurance is a healthy lifestyle.

our Judeo-Christian ethic demands that we take care of the downtrodden.

1. Yes, the “downtrodden.

So you believe the paradigm of Cain is the Judeo-Christian ethic?

I think it depends on what pre-existing condition.
Mild asthma vs. returning cancer at $400,000 a year.

As rough as this sounds, someone with major health issues needs to go through their assets first before they get welfare insurance.

I guess you don’t get to pass on an estate as much if you had a condition in life.

People should have always catastrophic health insurance for the big things.
Now I work, I pay for myself $500 a month for the catastrophic healthcare called the bronze plan with a $6300 deductible.
In my case this is armed robbery. I partially pay for others with my money because I get zero for it.

The ones screaming about Obamacare going are the ones on the free-ish side of the isle.
Always easy to demand others pay for you. They need to work full time and pay, or get band-aid welfare insurance.
