The current establishment narrative states that Russia used Hillary Clinton’s incriminating emails against her campaign to elect Donald Trump. When Democratic pundits or the U.S. intelligence community state that “Russia hacked our election,” they really mean Russia hacked the DNC and Clinton’s campaign. In 2016, words like “election” and “democratic process” are defined as either the DNC or Podesta’s emails. The fact Wisconsin hasn’t voted for a Republican since 1984, but picked Trump over Clinton, isn’t part of the equation.
Russia and “Russian hackers” are convenient scapegoats to explain Clinton’s $1.2 Billion campaign loss. Otherwise, Democrats would have to accept that Clinton’s negative favorability ratings, Iraq Vote, use of the phrase “super-predator” to describe black youth, advocacy of the TPP, Foundation issues, ongoing FBI email investigations, and the DNC’s cheating of Bernie Sanders might have had a tiny role in her defeat.
However, why would Russia only hack the DNC and Podesta’s emails?
What about Clinton’s server?
If indeed Russian hackers gave WikiLeaks the DNC and Podesta emails (there’s zero evidence backing this claim, but let’s follow the establishment’s narrative to its logical conclusion), then Russian intelligence would certainly have read these emails.
If indeed they hacked Clinton’s campaign, and then read Podesta’s emails, then Russia’s GRU and FSB intelligence agencies also knew Clinton used a private server; not a State.gov email address.

As a former boss used to say “I may be slow but I’m not stupid”. HuffPo is just figuring out what FReepers have been talking about for months.
I beleive we will someday learn that Russia has virtually everything that Hillary has ever sent or received via email.
Ask yourself why they might actually prefer Trump over Clinton...could it be that having access to a lot of Clinton’s inner secrets they might have thought “anyone but Clinton” would be in Russia’s best interest?

The US spies on Russia any way it can. Russia does the same to the US. The Russians spy to advance their interests. So do the Americans. The Russians are very good with computers. The Americans not as much. The Russians won this round and the Americans need to get better protecting their data.
Interfere with elections to advance your agenda? Shock of shocks. Ask Netanyahu what he thinks about foreigners (read that Obama) interfering with elections. American intelligence and counter intelligence needs a major overhaul if it did not realize senior government officials who had access to classified information were being hacked.

Russia “hacked” nothing. At best, they “spear phished” and got an *invitation to read the computer content by way of CONSENT incompetence at the DNC.
Even competitors will try a little spear phishing. A HACK is quite different from phishing.
We need to kill the ABUSE OF THE WORD “HACK” when we see it.
Even TRUMP and his team are calling the damn thing a “hack”.
They are saying “ There is no evidence RUSSIA “HACKED” the DNC”. They all know better. It was a common phishing attempt by someone!
Didn’t Hillary set it up that way so that it could be easy to hack.
And anytime she had an offer for info she sold it by putting it on her own server

ITEM--Wikileaks revealed earlier that talk host Colbert and his team at Comedy Central were making episodes at the request or order of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) back in April of 2013.
So, viewers thought they were smart because they’re informed by a comedian, yet said comedian was just doing Hillary’s bidding the whole time.
ITEM----I hope talk hosts Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Maher, Seth Myers, Trevor Noah and Conan O’Brien have their lawyers on retainer and speed dial....... because if the Trump Administration finds out the DNC and the Clintons were directly working with any member of their writing staff during the 2016 Presidential election, they could be charged with violating Federal election laws.
They aren't figuring it out. I read this same article a while back. Don't remember the source, but it is the same identical article and it was posted here on FR.
