Techically, you’re not really in the military until you graduate from basic or receive your commission. Up until you swear in at the end of basic training they can seperate you administratively. That’s what they do with all the washouts at basic.
I don't believe that is correct. The sworn oath comes prior to basic training.
That's interesting. I remember clearly having to take the Oath on the very first day of basic. I was still in civilian clothes with long hair. After that, we hit the barbers and received our uniforms. Funny what you remember from 1975, but can't remember what I did last week.
BTW, I turn 67 on Trump's inauguration. I can't tell you how dismayed I was that Hellary was going to soil the Oval Office. Now, I'm so full of hope that We The People will turn this socialist failure back to its Founding Principles.
