DNI Clapper: Russians Did Not Change Any Vote Tallies in U.S. Elections

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper admitted to the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday that the Russians did not alter vote counts in the U.S. election.

“They did not change any vote tallies or anything of that sort,” Clapper said under questioning from Chairman John McCain (R.-Ariz.)

Clapper further implicitly conceded that whatever the Russians might have done in making Democratic National Committee emails available to the public, the outcome of the U.S. presidential election nonetheless reflected “the choices” of American voters. …

Nor did the Russians tell Hillary to assume Michigan and Pennsylvania to be slam-dunk wins during the campaign, while engaging in ill-advised fantasies about capturing red states.

OR tell working families in coal country she intended to put the industry that's their economic lifeblood out of business.

OR persuade Hillary to demonize and alienate half the electorate as “deplorable” and “irredeemable.”

OR tell her not to use a Secure Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNet) account while SecState, and to instead use an unsecured server at her house in Chappaqua.

OR tell her to lie about the cause to the faces of the families of the four Americans killed in the terror attacks in Benghazi.

OR persuade her to run without a single discernible accomplishment to her name.

OR cajole her into engaging in illegal “pay for play” schemes involving the Clinton Foundation and foreign figures wanting special access to the Obama administration.

First no one denies the contents of the leaked emails were true. They just revealed to the public what lying conniving SOBs were running the DNC and Hillary campaign. Second, the in the tank for Hillary media quite effectively suppressed these emails and their contents by not reporting on them and supplying Hillary campaign talking points to denigrate and deny them. I doubt many potential Hillary voters were swayed to vote for Trump solely on what they knew about the emails
