Not defending the parents but from the local news reports... one of the guys pretended to be his friend. They go to school together. Perhaps his parents thought that this was a normal friendship that was happening and were happy that their son was being “accepted” by others? If the reports are true.. it is even more evil than I thought because there was a time period to get this boy and his family to see him as a friend. Thus, there was planning and maybe for quite a period of time. Case in point: my teen daughter is friends with two special need girls at her school (she is the type to ask them to sit down at her table at lunch etc). They all met up at a mall for a “girls shopping trip and lunch”. The two girls parents were just so happy that their daughters were doing a “normal” high school girl event i.e. fashion and spending money on clothes. They haven’t spent the night but I think the parents would have accepted a slumber party invite.
okay i see your point, but as a mom I would definately had gotten to know this kid (and shame on me, but LOOKING LIKE THAT) b4 my 100% “normal” kid , much less special needs kid, spent time alone with him.
I always go with my gut.
Good for your daughter. She sounds like a wonderful example unlike these scum who may have set back the ability for people to engage with disabled kids by decades.
They must not get any sort of plea. Their guilt is unassailable and on video.
An 8x10 cell with a view of the sky through a 4”x12” window should be what they look forward to for the next 35-50 years.

I lived in innercity neighborhoods for years before going rural, and I could tell you stories all day that would curl your hair.
Suffice it to say, it is a FACT that many-—not all, but a shocking number-— of black “parents” TEACH their children to hate whites, to engage in crime, to set up whites for scam lawsuits.
Even seemingly good black kids learn a form of taqqiyyah-—pretend to be trustworthy, visit white families, report back to mom and her boyfriend what you have in your house worth stealing. Or ask a white person for a ride to school while mom’s friends wait around the corner to stage a fake traffic accident.
Police brutality? The racist “system” stacked against blacks?
Ha! They’ve got crooked black cops—sometimes their own relatives-—on standby waiting to write the fake accident reports that they’ll use to sue you, and crooked black lawyers giving them how-to advice BEFORE they entrap you.
Plus, the “revolving door” that puts criminals back on the streets is really a cash register. Buying off the judge is just a cost of doing business for innercity blacks.
