Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) have introduced the Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act, which would move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and therefore recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital city. Currently, the U.S. Embassy is located in Tel Aviv.
In a statement, Sen. Cruz said that it was "finally time" to move the embassy.
Jerusalem is the eternal and undivided capital of Israel, Sen. Cruz said. Unfortunately, the Obama administration's vendetta against the Jewish state has been so vicious that to even utter this simple truth - let alone the reality that Jerusalem is the appropriate venue for the American embassy in Israel - is shocking in some circles. But it is finally time to cut through the double-speak and broken promises and do what Congress said we should do in 1995: formally move our embassy to the capital of our great ally Israel. I am pleased to co-sponsor this legislation with Senator Heller and Senator Rubio, and I look forward to working with the Trump administration to make this happen.
In 1995, Congress passed The Jerusalem Embassy and Relocation Act, which was supposed to move the embassy to Jerusalem. More than 20 years later, this has not yet happened.
President-elect Donald Trump has stated that he thinks the embassy should be in Jerusalem.
+1
Really. This is no time for the circular firing squad.
Yes we won!
My support, confidence, hopes, energies, loyalty are for our next President, Donald Trump......
.....and not interlopers like Cruz
September is the last nanosecond?

If Trump chooses to use Ted Cruz as part of Making America Great Again, I’ll support Ted. I’m following Trump’s lead here.
The House and Senate aren’t supposed to wait for the presidential inauguration day to get to work. Trump can’t sign bills into law without the bills ready to be signed on his desk. Anything to do with reversing Obama’s rejection of Israel’s right to exist within its own borders needs to be taken care of pronto. Obama can defy God at his own peril; the United States of America doesn’t need to be included in God’s judgment on this particular point.
If you’re expecting the legislative branch to only follow orders from this or any other president, then we don’t have a republic, we have a monarchy.
Are there?
WTF is your problem?
Senators can introduce legislation. Presidents-elect cannot. It is well known that Trump favors moving the embassy. Teddy Boy and co-sponsors are making it happen. What's to bellyache about?
No, this is good. This shows unity. Best that we have a master mind principle going on, where more and more people get on board the Trump Train. I’d love to see more of this esp when it comes to the wall, and immigration.
No, I think this is great!!!!
It doesn’t take all 535 members of the halls of Congress to pass one bill an to think everything else stops until each one is passed is foolish. To your request, there was also legislation introduced to kill the ACA as well. Trump has already dispatched his people to transition DHS to begin collecting the resources available to build the wall as well.
Just sit back and take a chill pill and the The Donald do his stuff. It has already been pointed out very sharply that when Congress strays from his plan, he will submit the properly phrased 140 character shot to wake them up.
McConnell and Ryan are wasting time.
Is it not apparent that both of them tried a little end run yesterday morning and Trump yanked them all with the stage hook within minutes?

Try as they may, we know who is in charge and now he will constantly reinforce that, every hour it is needed. They thought they had a lul between Congress coming back into session and the inauguration. Their assumptions were thrown in their faces like elephant dung. That stupid thing about the Ethics Board they started off with would have been three weeks or more of very bad press, rightfully so, and Trump deep sixed it in one tweet. Essentially pulling their carcasses out of the fire. He saved them and now they know it.
Now, when he says jump, they will but he is smart enough to know he has to keep his eye on them.
Which reinforces my point.
Personally, I recognize they are politicians of the first order. Nothing will change that, for now. Where we had to constantly be after them can now be handled from someone they will have to answer to. We both agree they are totally unwilling to listen to us. So, we cured the problem by getting someone for us that they have to answer to and whose weight of digital awareness with us gets trumpeted (pun intended) directly from him to the whole world.
These goofballs can get rid of their phone message systems that are always full and hire someone to watch their twitter accounts.
.?
Cruz will prove to be one of Trump’s best allies in the Senate. Believe me, I was glad he lost the primary.
Actually, you all can have at it.....
......Trump won.
Ted is someone I really don’t care to waste my energies on.
If he’s helpful.....fine
If he’s grandstanding Trump is smart enough to deal with it.
Trump won!
I should not post much anymore......
I’m too weary for the arguing.
GO SEE A SHRINK. YOU NEED ONE!!!
