Cry me a river. If one is in the USA illegally, then that one is already a criminal, and is subject to arrest and deportation. Send them all back.

You said it!

... putting undocumented families at risk ...

They’re here illegally. Deport them all. Immediately.

The whole idea of sanctuary cities is unconstutitional. The SCOTUS has previously weighed in on whether states could set immigration policies and said "nope, that power is designated exclusively to congress". That was when states were trying to keep what they considered undesirable immigrants out. But the same logic would apply, they cannot make their own policy regarding immigration and sanctuary cities amounts to that.

Bottom line, Trump is on the high road and can squeeze the cities dry because they are in violation of the law and in direct conflict with the constitution. And he should.

Perhaps instead of withholding funds for these so called sanctuary cities, perhaps a more effective tactic would be to assign ICE officers duty outside of jails, and where needed, outside police stations. Question everyone released, and arrest all who cannot provide identity.

Another tactic in addition to the above could be to publicize each and every violent crime committed by an illegal released into the community. And, publicize every criminal detained by ICE after their release by local officials to build urban dweller support for ICE tactics, and against city politicians.

Every illegal alien that is not deported puts American citizens at risk.

Why are Americans less important to elected officials than fraudulently documented foreigners?

Do you think the Tsarnov brothers had anything to do with it?

They were granted asylum, not subject to deportation.
Every illegal alien is subject to deportation and waiting until they have been caught and convicted before deporting them allows them the opportunity to harm Americans.

This so called Trust Act (don’t Acts have to go through Congress ???) is designed for illegal aliens...

Lets see what happens to IMMIGRANTS...

Commit a felony, get deported...

Commit a misdemeanor, you could be deported..

Why aren’t illegal aliens treated like the transstatus “immigrants” they identify as ???

DEPORT THEM !!!

Federal law TRUMPS any city law.

It’s true that Federal law is superior to municipal codes, but it is also true that the Federal government cannot draft or compel non-Federal sworn officers to enforce Federal laws - that’s not their job.

But it’s also not their job to obstruct justice or to interfere with the People’s laws, passed by Congress and signed by various Presidents over the years. THAT’S the problem with so-called “sanctuary cities”.

Obstruction of justice is a Federal offense. The CIS and Border Patrol cannot order Boston police to go and find illegal aliens. But they can, as a general matter, enforce the laws against harboring fugitives from justice, EVEN IF those doing the harboring are Boston police.

And Boston can live without federal funds as well.

Why is it that liberal cities prefer to have where they live described like the barroom scene in Star Wars: a hive of scum and villainy?
