CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have released crime statistics from 2016, with a police spokesman calling it an "unacceptable rise in violence."
In the worst violence in nearly 20 years, Chicago saw 762 murders, 3,550 shooting incidents and 4,331 shooting victims.

At least they finally don’t plan new “tougher” gun control laws so maybe they are finally serious about protecting people.
It’s more like over 800, ABC Fake News propaganda shills.
In other words, just enforce current gun laws.

This is just gobbledigook to make it sound like they are doing something and gives them an excuse to spend more money on their "partners"
I saw what I perceived as a slanted 60 Minutes piece on this last night. The reporter thought the police should not be pulling back from aggressive police work. The one rule of LEO is go home alive at the end of your shift. Liberals only want the police when it’s them but like to hamstring them the rest of the time.

Get a couple of jobs, join the military, just get out n get busy somewhere else. We had to move last yr because there were so few opportunities where we lived.. but the good news, men could go to the bathroom with your mother, wife or daughter!
You get a decent education, but unfortunately the Democrats and the teachers' unions won't allow it.
Many don't want to get out. The easiest path to a nice income, a nice house and a nice car is right there. It's outside of the law, but it's right there. Not associated with a very long life expectancy, either, but the young of every race think that they are immortal.
Representing over 100 years of civic dysfunction, there may not be any solution to the Chicago problem.
I thought reading Sudhir Venkatesh's book was illuminating.
